The EU didn't need to send tanks in Ukraine
(Leonidas, 18 March 2014 14:01)

You summed it up pretty well, dear... The EU didn't need to send tanks in Ukraine to make Ukrainians choose the EU. But for Russia the tanks were the only way to make Ukrainians choose Russia, and even with that it failed :)

Sending the tanks failed in Hungary in 1956 and failed in Czechoslovakia in 1968; but for some Russians is really hard to learn...

Unlike the annexation of Kosovo from Serbia
(Leonidas, 18 March 2014 21:22)

Sorry, but the above sentence makes no sense in English... "annexation of Kosovo" means that Kosovo was added to another entity. What other entity was Kosovo added to?!!!!

Leonidas

i forgot to address this point. so the blatant annexation of another country's territory by Russia cause they had army personnel there since 1954 is OK? thats not imperialist in any way?
(Nikolle, 18 March 2014 17:51)

Annexation? It's not Kosovo. Unlike the annexation of Kosovo from Serbia, there was a referendum in Crimea in which the overwhelming majority of the people decided to join Russia.

now then; first off, what we disagreed on, was your view that mass immigration was an EU policy to DILUTE the population of Europe and drive workers wages down. this is the conspiracy nonsense that I was challenging. we never actually discussed referenda on immigration. as for the rest of your points, you seem to find it hard to believe that such a thing as popular revolt exists. Ukraine is not the first example of people rising up to depose their leaders is it? following on from your logic, the North Koreans should accept the 'democratic' process of their state and not bother with rebellion. i am guessing that you consider the fall of Ceaușescu to have been a bad thing, because it didn't follow 'democratic' norms. no sunshine, dictators lose credibility when they murder their own citizens. why this is hard for you to grasp, i have no idea. maybe Greece verging between theocracy and democracy has something to do with it

As far as you're concerned anyone who disagrees with your deranged thinking is a conspiracy theorist.I do recall in another exchange I had with you sometime ago when I said that If EU citizens had the power to vote against immigration in a referendum they would do so and you said that I was a conspiracy theorist only for the referendum in Switzerland to prove that I was correct in my assumptions.Back to Ukraine blame the US and the EU for encouraging chaos in Ukraine and the western Ukrainians for not accepting the principle that in a democratic society rulers are elected, re-elected or kicked out at general elections. My views on EU haven't changed at all.The EU ponzi scheme is striving to be an Empire hence their involvement in Ukraine and its SAs with Ajerbaijan and Armenia .It's important to remember that according to Craig & Elliott ('The Great European Union Rip-Off'), the European Commission blows some €3 billion per year on propaganda "communication".Joseph Goebbels will be chuckling, indeed probably laughing hysterically in his grave. It doesn't surprise me in the least, therefore, that the citizens of Ukraine think that all things European Union and euro currency are the height of wonderfulness. That's precisely what the Emperors Barroso and Van Rompuy want them to think. It's only when you get in you realize there is no way back.As to Russian sending its army in is another indication you're totally clueless. They're there since 1954.

stupidity continued eh? yes i know that you buy into the the-west-caused-all-the-havoc-in-Ukraine argument, but that doesn't make conspiracy theories true. what is really funny, is this accusation that the EU engaged in imperial expansionism. sunshine, it seems the will of the vast majority who dwell in Ukraine is to join the EU. it really isn't my problem that this bothers you. of course, Russia sending its army (something the EU has not done) and annexing a territory is not imperialist, no no, that's different

It seems to me that events in Ukraine have overtaken you.The EU didn't need to send tanks in Ukraine, they've send their unelected bureaucrats. Their diplomats and politicians even hobnobbed with fascists and Neo-Nazis.Eventually after a few days of terrible violence peace was restored and the EU-brokered a deal - that set elections, a return to the 2004 constitution and so on, signed by the opposition and welcomed by Russia - was broken by the fascist opposition who then grabbed power. The EU said nothing and imminently recognized the coup regime. The European putsch attempt was thankfully thwarted by Putin and his determination to stand his ground. The fact the EU are prepared to go to bed with Right wing fascists sums it up really. They're out of touch, greedy and lack basic common sense.

It’s so funny when they ban entrance for 3 generals whose only guilt is that they without a single shot fulfilled the command of their head commander. To say nothing that such level generals are not even allowed to go abroad.

Another thing is that Putin fights for years to forbid his people obtaining property and bank accounts in the west. So this campaign is a great help for him. Other people from his crew will also take their money and real estate away.

Leonidas we are witnessing a great change in the world. It would happen in any case. Be it Ukraine or any other pretext. Crimea looks just like a revolver shot in Saraevo. Another face-saving act by the US/EU.I am sure those sanctions are really going to be felt back in Russia. Bring the country to its knees LOL.I wonder why they omitted the $billions held in Western banks.

The EU is quite despicable. Somebody finally stands up to their expansionism and they throw a tantrum and produce pathetic sanctions. Then we have the West ganging up and repeating the same line.Typical Western hypocrisy.Really embarrassing.
