Bed pans aren't used, it is 2013 not 1950.

No, sj. I went on the Australian Embassy in China's website and found no such thing about Visa free travel for Chinese Citizens to Australia. There is only one country in the world which has full visa free travel to Australia and that is New Zealand. If Chinese citizens really do have visa free travel, then I you won't have any trouble providing a source to back that up. Until then, I'll have to take your Chinese neighbour's parent's word for it LOL!

I've never claimed to be in a management position. If you believe otherwise, please produce a quote to prove me wrong.

"UMNIK has no agreements with China." UNMIK and China both disagree with you on this.

I've already told you what Kosovo exports. But if you want a more exact answer, you can contact the Chinese who are importing it.

Momcilo,

If your statement above were true, then the same types of people in Serbia would be out of business, hence, Serbia would have a failed economy.

Yes, so it sells some scrap metal and foodstuffs to its neighbours and Turkey (Kosovo may as well be an impoverished region of Anatolia, its pretty indistinguishable). Its biggest trading partner is Italy an EU member. Italy is also a big importer of Albanians!

It is more to do with your selective reading and misinterpretation of what I said.

I never denied that Moldova had a civil war (even if it did last 5 minutes). What I said was in the 90s Kosovo suffered "oppression, turmoil and war". Big difference!

Moldova is under pressure from Russia and Romania, but they aren't trying to isolate Moldova.

Yeh yeh EU and US are pumping Kosovo's economy ect BS argument. WRONG! Kosovo does lots of it's trade with Turkey, Macedonia, Albania, China ect. None of which are in the EU.

As to your last paragraph, what I should have said is that Kosovo has the fastest growing GDP in Europe not the fasted growing economy. I apologise for my choice words.

In your posting please replace 'Kosovo' by 'Tibet'.
OK, so when will the West recognize Tibet? Where millions (!) died!

Regarding: Transnistria...
Moldova understands Kosovo will set a precedent. Moldova knows then Transnistria will be next.
Same for Georgia! The friend of the West. And still it does not recognize Kosovo... You wonder why?
(Ron, 6 December 2013 15:19)

What would the West recognise Tibet as? Tibet hasn't declared independence. What has Tibet got to do with this?

The 'Kosovo Precedent'? You mean that artificial manufactured concept created by Serbia and Russia?

If Kosovo really has set a precedent, then who have they influenced?

Transnistria declared it's independence in the early 90s and is a Russian occupied region of Moldova. How is it that Kosovo has set a precedent but Transnistria, Abkhazia, S Ossetia, North Cyprus ect didn't?

Until recently I used to live in Wales and I visit Scotland regularly. Not once have I ever heard a Scot or a Welshman in favour of independence say "If Kosovo can be independent then so can Scotland/ Wales". And I've never heard a Scottish or Welsh politician say that either. The same with Catalonia is Spain.

The 'Kosovo Precedent' is a load of BS created by Serbia and Russia to stop aka slow down Kosovo's recognition.

More of Ian UK's ignorant propaganda.

Moldova had a civil war in the early 1990s and has been in a state of frozen conflict with Transnistria for over 20 years. The country is also under considerable pressure from both Russia and Romania.

Kosovo's economic 'growth' is due to the EU and US pumping huge amounts of money into it to keep it afloat. When you start from such a low base, you can only go up, but its artificial and not backed up with anything substantial and is dependent on foreign handouts to keep going.

The latest CIA data shows that Armenia, Georgia, Latvia, Norway, Russia and Azerbaijan have faster growing economies than Kosovo. Its also not about just rankings and percentages you actually have to analyze conditions and context to have a proper understanding.

Moldova didn't spend the 90s under oppression, turmoil and war unlike Kosovo.

Moldova didn't have well over a million people flee the country unlike Kosovo.

Moldova didn't have hundreds of thousands of refugees and people made homeless unlike Kosovo.

Moldova doesn't have countries trying to isolate it unlike Kosovo (even today).

Kosovo was rated 86 on the World Bank's 'Doing Business' list, Serbia was 93 btw.

In 2012 Kosovo has a GDP per capita of US $3,453, Moldova was at US $2,038.

Kosovo has the fasted growing economy in Europe.

Kosovo has overcome all this. This is progress in the right direction.

Also Belarus (123), Russia joint with Azerbaijan (127), Kazakhstan (140) & Ukraine (144) beat Albania in World Corruption in Europe.

Oh, yes millions of Miles: GDP/capita 2010 in US-$
Kosovo :1,813
Moldova :1,433
Serbia :7,038
Average in the EU: 32,400

Now tell me again which country is millions of miles away from any European standard?

P.S: Congratulations to Kosovo for climbing 5 places in the list of the most corrupt countries in the world, from 105 in 2012 to 111 in 2013, sharing the position with Ethiopia(Africa) and Tansania(Africa).
But, believe it or not, Kosovo is not the most corrupt country in Europe. Which country can be proud of this honor? Not hard to guess, it is Albania on #116 (#113 in 2012), while Serbia improved from #80 in 2012 to #72 in 2013, this is progress in the right direction.
