PM favors withdrawal of genocide lawsuits

Somehow I don't think Croatia favours a withdrawal of genocide lawsuits... Then again, I don't blame Dacic for wanting them withdrawn; it was rather embarrassing the last time Serbia went to the ICJ.

The Serbian prime minister was quoted as saying that "things like filing of genocide lawsuits cannot be done unilaterally," and that if Croatia wants to withdraw the mutual lawsuits, Serbia was "ready for that."

I'll bet, your Serbia has been ready for that scenario for quite some time now!

This whole legal process is just a waste of time and a bunch of posturing. Croatia has no chance of winning her genocide suit, given that Bosnia has already failed. Further, key wartime figures such as Stanisic and Perisic have been acquitted of war crimes, so for whatever reason, the courts seem to be going easier on Serbia these days. Serbia likewise has no chance of winning against Croatia - Gotovina was acquitted, plus most of the Serbs cleansed from Krajina lived to tell about it.
