No my lad you have it all wrong as usual. In Australia both Chinese and Russians are classified in the very low risk category to overstay their visas while Turks are in the extreme high risk as most Middle Eastern countries and central Asia.
Serbians are rated as low risk while Albanians are the same as Turks.
Keep up with the times mate.
If Serbia is broke then what does that say for Kosovo or Albania?????

Well, Chinese, Russians and Serbs are not in the low risk category. That's what the Australian government says http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration/eta-eligible-passports.htm. Keep up making up things, dear :)

Only someone who has never been to Prizren could say that. Walk the streets and see how may Ethnic Turks you run into.
(Huh??, 28 October 2013 09:14)

In 1999 your lot kicked out of Kosovo everyone who was not an Albanian – get the message now?
Yes the ethnic Turks returned just like Serbs have returned to Kosovo but it was not because of Albanian hospitality but simply because the EU.

Recognition of the declaration of Kosovo independence is a crude violation of international law!
But Serbia never did anything serious about that and won't do anything now.
Turkey just farted on your nose, perhaps somebody will wake up?

Truth is Turks care as much about Albanians as Russians care about Serbs.
Where were both sides when their 'allies' needed help?
Rhetoric is cheap. The aim for both, Turkey and Russia, is to bleed both respective countries dry and make them believe they're their friends.

Let's not forget that Turks were masters of these lands for over 500 years. Albanians suffered greatly under Turkish rule. Turkey was vile and merciless empire.

Being surrounded by enemies such as Serbia, Greece, Macedonia and Montenegro, I to a degree understand why some Albanians see Turkey as a 'friend'. Recent memory proves that Slavs were more vicious to Albanians than Turks.

With that being said, we should all move forward and look to a brighter future. But, we should not forget the ill-deeds of our neighbors and occupiers.

As for Serbs, well they suffer from 'the world is against us because we're great' and Russians are our true friends. So I understand why they turn to Russia.

Someone stated that Albania is still stuck in stone age.
Here are some stats:
On the list of countries with high human development Serbia ranks 64th with a score of .769 and Albania 70th with a score of .749, a mere difference of .02.

Serbia is .02 points away from stone age. Congratulations on your superiority!

There is a misconception here, which I would like to address

Some say that the message of the muslim prime minister of turkey is: you mess with kosovo, you deal with turkey. This could make sense as a logic, but I wonder if he really believes that that balkan states are…afraid of his country - because no one has respect for his country except from muslim people in the balkans. This funny behavior doesnt make you a regional power mr erdogan, it makes you…hm…a religious persona. Better to focus making your country an islamic state than going around making a fool of yourself.

Turkey pretends to be something that is not, and when the time comes they will again be beaten up just like they were some decades back and were kicked out of the region. Some naive people mention at the same phrase turkey, russia and the US. People get your facts right and be careful what you write. Russia and the US belong to a different class and can be compared to china, not the asian turkish state.

erdogan, he is overly aggressive and has lost touch with reality. This behavior will get his country in trouble (it already has, check Syria versus turkey). I guess next time the prime minister of thailand has to go to Diyarbakir and declare it the capital of the Kurdish state.

turkey should get its act together. erdogan going around making threats raises doubts over his mental health. No one is afraid of turkey, only desperate people find psychological support in this turkish attitude.

Well, good to see that Serbia good a bit of it's own medicine, and the reactions from the Belgrade clowns shows that they, as usual, need a reality check. It is just laughable to expect the rest of Europe to rally behind their backward ideas and support their thinking. As usual, they live in their own created dream world, far away from reality unable to reflect on their own actions and cry Woolf when somebody shows similar behavior which is common for them on a daily basis. Actually funny to see how they start to overboil now. They need to be thought a lesson, just like little spoiled kids, but I am affraid they don't get it.

First, I think the whole deal has been blown out of proportion, it is more likely he was talking metaphorically and not literally. Second, Turkey would not have to act independently of NATO in any defense situation of Kosovo. NATO has a very clear mandate from the UNSC to defend Kosovo from any action from Serbia and they take that mandate seriously.

Truth is Turkey was sitting idle, sucking its thumb during the whole conflict in Bosnia and Serbian Kosovo at the height of its Bosnian/Albanian Turkish peoples'plight, dumbfounded, incapable and waiting by the sidelines for more capable nations to do the job. Truth is Turkey has not been able to contain its own Kurdish freedom fighters for decades. Truth is Turkey is the US's little puppet base and would disintegrate into a thousand little turklets if this wasnt the case. Truth is Turkey is powerful, but not as powerful as the enemies, when joined together against a common enemy, it has been slowly creating which surround it. Truth is Israel alone could flatten turkey sending it back into an Albanian type stone age, imagine what Russia or Europe would do if Turkey were to "rain on Serbia", what a joke to even entertain such an idea. Erdogan talks a lot of crap, Ultimate truth is Turkey wouldnt dare do anything more than stir up and create a bit of bravado amongst a small group of poverty stricken backward minded Kosovo Albanians that can only rely on others and have been living under the rule of every nation around them but their own. 2 things. Firstly Erdogan would be better served sorting out his own problems rather than creating them in another country/territory. Secondly, the idea that Turkey would take any unilateral action in defence of Kosovo is absurd. Not only do they not now act without NATO agreement but they are very unlikely to stir up Russia without very good cause; Kosovo is certainly not in that category,

Albanian and Serb commentators seem both carried away with their usual narrow-minded views on basically everything. But hey this is the Balkans after all where a bigger power (i.e. Turkey, Russia or the US) has always been able to pit the local people against each other for their own self-national interests. Of course Albanians and Serbs being far smaller and far less influential in the Global playground than the aforementioned powers, have only been happy (and of course foolish) enough to engage in such ‘games’ to temporarily gain the upper hand in the region by controlling larger tracks of land and claiming it as rightfully and ‘historically’ theirs. Most of these claims have been based on fabricated myths and bent facts. We’ve seen this throughout the 19th century, early and late 20th century and sadly the beginning of the 21st century.
Erdogan, and for that matter, Putin, are both disillusioned and paranoid leaders of long-crumbled and crumbling powers who are going through a daily, devastating reality-check. Of course their influence in the Balkans is very much alive. We’ve seen the joyous and fanatical Serbs waiving Russian flags in northern Kosovo and naïve servile Albanians hurriedly doing the same whenever Erdogan visited Prishtina or Prizren.

(adrian kola, 25 October 2013 17:18)

True, unfortunately. And what is surprising me even more is the fact that many of the oh-so-prod Kosovarians who now enjoy their 'independence' can't stay away from waving Albanian flags on any opportunity.

Recognition of the declaration of Kosovo independence is a crude violation of international law!
But Serbia never did anything serious about that and won't do anything now.
Turkey just farted on your nose, perhaps somebody will wake up?
Oh no! We won't compromise our submission to the EU.
OK, so just be a good slave, shut up and gulp it down!

I agree so much with you. Finally an albanian commentator who doesn't reproduce the usual nationalistic and chauvinist cliches that we've been fed to in the Balkans during the last two centuries.

I’ve never seen a superpower like Turkey where if the EU opened its doors most Turks would migrate.

Same with Russia open the borders of EU and you will loose millions of Russians overnight so by your theory Russia is not either.

Not to speak of Serbia who is near Bankruptcy and only reason they are listening to EU is they need the grants

What difference does my name make!

...don't know what this point system is, or how it was calculated ie .02??
but I do know that only .02 (2%) difference in DNA separates chimpanzees from humans,, not suggesting there is any correlation between the two, but you can surely appreciate that there is a substantially large divide, wouldn't you agree?!

Well, Chinese, Russians and Serbs are not in the low risk category. That's what the Australian government says http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration/eta-eligible-passports.htm. Keep up making up things, dear :)
