Priština University Day marked in K. Mitrovica

Sorry but this article makes no sense whatsoever. If it is based in Northern Mitrovica then surely it's not the Univeristy of Prishtina is it? I've never come across a Univeristy which bears the name of a town in which it's not actualy physically even based in. Only Serbs can make this up. I only wonder what they will call it when it 'temporary' moves to Nish or Kragujevac? :-) Just saying!
There's only one University of Prishtina and that's in Prishtina not in Northern Mitrovica!

First, the title is funny. Pristina University Day in K. Mitrovica.

Second, "Over 10,000 students are attending the ten faculties of the Priština University with the temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica, and the University also employs 746 professors and assistants and around 350 other staff."

If these numbers are true, there are almost 1100 people employed there, one person for every nine students almost. Way to high a ratio for a university. I wonder how many of those people physically work there. It really looks like just another way to channel money in N. Kosovo.

746+350= ordinary Serb taxpayers ,paying thugs in northern Mitro. It all adds up to huge deficit for Serbian treasury.

First I think there must be some technical errors on this report, 10,000 students, the number of people is very large number , and would be very difficult to be housed in a temporary building. Where does this young men and women hang around?

Secondly, until when Serbian people are going to make fool of themselves? The University of Prishtina wasn't opened only for Serbian people but for anyone who wanted to get engaged in higher education and research. What's up with the segregation now?

There is a shared history of people of Balkans, and no one is entitled to monopolise it.

Assistant Minister of Education Slobodan Stupar said that 43 years of the Priština University "is not a short period of time," and added that "many countries in the region have been around for a period ten times shorter."

Hmm, 4.3 years? Which countries does he refer to? Montenegro and Serbia exist for about 7 years now. I only know one (pseudo-) country in the region that is around 10 times shorter :)

Just to clarify:

University of Pristina - as we are all aware is in the capital. The off-shoot serb version as claimed here "displaced" is: Pristina University located in Northern Mitrovica.

So two different institutions, University of Pristina and Pristina University.

True, an university is for everyone. About the segregation: Maybe ask those some of those people that are responsible for the fact that only some dozens Serbs are left are living in Pristina now, mostly elderly people who are not afraid of getting killed and who chose to stay in their homes.
