To Mirel and all:

Today Romanian president Traian Basescu had a meeting with the head of CIA, John O. Brennan, who visited Romania to discuss with RO secret agencies about the fight against terrorism and bilateral co-operation.
Quote from Basescu:
"Our main political target is to consolidate the ties with USA, despite the fact that sometimes, as concerning the Kosovo case, we do not have exactly the same position, but this cannot raise a question mark regarding our resolve to consolidate the relationship with United States".

So, the Kosovo issue exists, but more important for US are to secure Romanian support for the war against terrorism inter alia, the presence of Romanian troops in Iraq and Afghanistan).

From his part, Brennan has praised the "professionalism", "spirit of inovation", "integrity" and "courage" of Romanian intelligence officers. The head of CIA had meeting at both the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Foreign Intelligence Service headquarters in Bucharest.

Last but not least, yesterday the Romanian President, the Prime Minister Victor Ponta and the Minister for Foreign Affairs Titus Corlatean, had separate meetings with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, General Nikolai Platonovici Patrushev. With this occasion was signed a Memorandum of Co-operation between Russia and Romania in matters of security. This time the issue of Kosovo was not mentioned at all, at least not in front of TV cameras...

The Czech Republic is ahead of Slovakia. But not far, and is light years ahead of Albania. No need to mention Kosovo, the gangster's paradise, one of the poorest regions in Europe with a good percentage of people living from less than 2 Euros per day (except for the members of the ruling drug clans and the corrupt politicians with their fancy villas).
(Just for Information, 6 June 2013 07:50)

And not to mention Serbia... Czech Republic's GDP/capita is 2.6x larger than Serbia's.

Mirel from Albania calling someone else a lapdog?

Albania took muslims from Guantanamo Bay that no one else in the world would take.

Albania is used as a dump, importing tons of waste from 27 EU members including bio-hazards.

Albania took members of the Iranian militant group Mujahedeen-E-Khalq because the US would not take them.

Albania is Europe and US dumping ground.

"Because before electing "political leaders being either (former) criminals, terrorists, national extremists",people of Kosovo elected Ibrahim Rugova, a modarate and no criminal and extremist and still serbs refuze to talk to him. "
(Mirel from Albania, 5 June 2013 23:03)

Yes, good that you mention him. A person like would be more needed than ever, nowadays, but I cannot see any person with integrity and crdibility like him, only Thacis, Haradinajs and Kurtis.
(Comm. Parrisson, 6 June 2013 08:04)

We did elected him until he passed away in 2006,and what u did was ignoring and humiliating Rugova. What should we do?Go in his grave and reincarnate him?
After Rugova, we elected Sejdiu and you still did the same.
Thaci was elected after the moderate leaders failed to secure an independence from Serbia in peaceful way.
Thaci was the last person in the minds of Kosovo people for PM.Unfortulately, serbs by humiliating people like Rugova,Sejdiu,Agani( he was killed by serbs) etc did help in Thaci's election.
So telling me that Thaci was first choice of K-Alb is 100% lie.
Thaci was the last and was elected after all the other choices was exhaused.

Secondly, since when the condition for independence is being no corrput gonverment?
80-90% of UN members have more corrupt and less democratic gonverment than Kosovo.

Do you really believe that if the corruption level was lower Russia,Slovakia,Spain etc will recognise Kosovo?
Cmon I dont believe that yuu are that naive.

Within 3 years Slovakia will have implicitlly recognised Kosova. This is nothing new, Slovakia has its own secessionist factions to deal with, so is being cautious. However, non recognition implies you ignore all stately attributes, you don't recognise its passports, its documentations, Slovakia accepts Kosovar passports, it accepts Kosovar students enrolling in their universities with Kosovar diplomas etc etc. there are really only 2 states in Europe that don't recognise Kosova, Russia and the Ukraine, the others, they excplicitly do. Oh and Comm, one reason why you should recognise Kosova, cause its better now than it was under Serbia, but the again, maybe you like seeing war, burning villages and refugees.

Slovakia should recognize kosova because Serbia is and Slovakia does in many ways too. accepting its participation in meetings and recognizing passports and so many things. Serbia is all about kosova in a meeting for central European heads of state like Slovakia is and has invited kosova. So stop lying and being ridiculous and stop pretending and just recognize and stop playing stupid games. 63% of serb society says kosova is independent so what's the deal?

... Give me one good reason why a country should recognize the self declared Republik of Kosovo, created by a spearatist ethnic minority? One of the most corrupt states in the Europe, with it's political leaders being either (former) criminals, terrorists, national extremists...
(Comm. Parrisson, 5 June 2013 18:14)

Because there are 100 others states which recognises Kosovo( Tanzania your biggest supporter in Africa just recognised today).
Because there is no way that Kosovo to be under Serbia again. What is the alternative?Kill 1.8 million albanians and take Kosovo back?Is this that you advocate?
Because the population of Kosovo has endured one of the biggest ethic cleansing in human history in 1999,and there is no way to be under the same people who dont even apologise.Just look how serbian comentators(including yourself) speak down against albanians and tell me there is love and fairness for albanians under Serbia.
Because before electing "political leaders being either (former) criminals, terrorists, national extremists",people of Kosovo elected Ibrahim Rugova, a modarate and no criminal and extremist and still serbs refuze to talk to him.
Because there are 22 other countries(not corrupt) in EU where Slovakia is a member that have recognised Kosovo plus Canada,Australia,Japan,South Korea,Norway etc.
Because more than 50% of UN members have recognise Kosovo and 10-20 more recognisions are under way.

@Mirel

you are seriously the only one that is naive and each time you talk you become less and less rational and intelligent .. 80-90% of the un has a more corrupt govt than kosovo, seriously what are you smoking and what kind of drugs are you on?? the level of corruption does not determine if a country will or will not recognize kosovo, are you kidding me, just stop talking you are embarrassing yourself, no wonder albania and albanians are known as the garbage and bottom pit of europe and humanity ... russia and the other countries dont recognize kosovo because they know its a dangerous precedent and move and cuz it violates international law

And not to mention Serbia... Czech Republic's GDP/capita is 2.6x larger than Serbia's.
