If Serbia is like all other places that this occurs (and since it it human nature I am sure it is) this could just as well been a man doing this as domestic violence is a HUMAN problem, not a gender problem. By ignoring abused men as society doess only keeps the problem going and the money pouring into traditonay dometich violence shelters who only help women.estic We need to look at BOTH sides and also as we do this, we need to look at cause and effect because I have seldom see a confict between two adults where BOTH did not add to the conflict.

Koko, you are spot on with your assessment. Most perpetrators of DV are using the only set of values they know as their guidelines in their lives. The standard set by their parents or guardians as children. Not to make a cliche of the subject but garbage in, garbage out. at www.cdv.org, it is our goal to educate the children of domestic violence, sharing with them some powerful alternatives to deal with the stresses life gives them without the use of violence. Essentially killing the monster of DV while it is still a baby. Break the cycle of violence with the children. This will not only help end DV worldwide, but give a generation of young adults a chance at a happy existence.

This is ridiculous.

All those criminal men that beat woman, all have been beaten as kids by their own mums and dads.

If you want to stop this, than stop child domestic violence first, as the kid learns in the family on how to be a criminal outside it.

But the children cant run away, or even have access to any service, if it the parants and the extended family who is committing the violence.
