Serbia is in a very tough spot, it needs EU funding as it is near bankruptcy ( most countries have issues nothing tragic about this) they will get access to 1,5 -1,8B Euros. This money if used wisely will improve Serbias industry and it needs it soon or will fall further back.

Serbia needs to get the date before July 1st not for any other reason than Croatia will become a EU member which means there will be a new laundry list for Serbia to agree to before the date of negotiations.

So this is what makes Dacic stay awake at night, ordinary citizen of Serbia does not understand how tough economical spot Serbia is, maybe because when they visit they see Beograd and Novi Sad, Maybe because they are there during summer and Balkan culture of hospitality makes them feel best place on earth, however you put it if people do not get better life soon there will be many problems. Serbia public sector is overburden there are people preforming jobs that could be eliminated very fast make bureaucracy disappear to appropriate level.

Lets hope the cooler heads prevail in Beograd soon and give future generations a better life.

Please stop pointing fingers at each other Serbia is better than Kosovo.... Please compare your self to your self and ask more from your government.

"Accept autonomy in a partially recognized but non-sovereign territory with no UN membership, or continue fighting to remain apart of a universally recognized UN member state...? "

There are more people who recognise Kosovo, than Serbia. Think about that, ask your neighbours or your host country. :D

And dont get mad, that all Serb myths will not die off just as they came alive, try to stay with reality for once.

"..is clear why he was not elected as Czech president. Many protests against his election campaign were showing his understanding for the Germans in his country before 1945, very strong relatetd with the Nazi-movement. Why b92 or Serbia is permanently showing such stupid statements."

Well, you cannot compare, but you can see similarities. If a group of ethnic people try to 'clean' a place where they lived together with other ethnicities, those things can happen. And no, he didn't show 'understanding' for Germans before 1945, but he said that the expelling of Germans from areas in today's Czech Repubic and Poland (where they have been living for some centuries) could be called 'ethnic cleansing' nowadays. Comparable of expelling of Croats from Krajina, or Serbs from Kosovo. Is it so hard to see the parallels?

P.S: There have been 100.000s of Germans/Austrians expelled from what is todays Serbia/Vojvodina, too.

Exactly, the Serbs should be very thankful that the Ahtissari plan, was accepted by Kosova! In my opinion, too much autonomy was given to the Serbs of Kosova, within the plan! But, I guess a compromise was needed on Kosova's end!!! I would have hoped that Kostunica was still in power, Kosova would have been in a much better position!

Accept autonomy in a partially recognized but non-sovereign territory with no UN membership, or continue fighting to remain apart of a universally recognized UN member state...? Which would you pick?

Autonomy my ass. This stupid sh** was tried in the summer of 2011. The Serbs then in Kosovo i Metohija had other plans, none of those plans have changed. Their own state can sell them off 10x over they still simply will not accept rule by terrorist institutions in Pristina. And you have proved that de-facto you can't physically have your way in the north.

South Tyrol.. lmao.

Rocky, what do you care about the level of autonomy of Serbs in Kosovo? You live in America. None of this concerns you or affects your daily life.

Commenting on conditions offered to Serbia, that First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vučić said “leave not even a one-percent chance“, the Czech foreign minister said that Germans had lost Silesia and Eastern Pomerania after WWII. "

Mr. Schwarzenberg is comparing Apple and Oranges wrongly. Germany has started WWII with 60 mill. victims. What this has to do with Kosovo? Schwarzenberg from a special family is trying to make parallels between Nazi-Germany and Serbia/Yu. Its clear why he was not elected as Czech president. Many protests against his election campaign were showing his understanding for the Germans in his country before 1945, very strong relatetd with the Nazi-movement. Why b92 or Serbia is permanently showing such stupid statements. On this side Serbia will nver find friends. But Serbia was sending the wrong singnals with its re-naming of so many streets and places from partisans to unclear kings etc.
