Catalonia in two years will be independent ,so what Spain can do then plus the other part of Spain in the north west will be independent soon .so Spain has got no choice to stop any one to be a member of NATO ,but still USA decides

4. Kosovo trough ALBANIA will "vote" and make it's voice heard.
===================================
Classic case of the tail wagging the dog. Delusional.

"When the day comes, Kosovo will be a fully flagged member of the Alliance, as there is nothing to legally stop Kosovo from becoming just that. NATO does NOT require that new members are UN member, which Kosovo in any case is very likely to become by than"
===================================

But NATO does require that you are a state. Read the paragraph again.

The officials explained the North Atlantic Treaty, signed in Washington in 1949 and the key document of the military-political alliance even today, does not specify that a candidate country must be a UN member, but under international law it is understood that the term 'state' refers only to those with a seat in the UN.

USA gets to decide who gets in NATO and they have said many many times that Kosova is moving closer to NATO. USA gets the last word. Also remember we got the United States of Albania in NATO!
(Kosova, 5 February 2013 18:41)

Fortunately ALL (!) NATO members must agree on letting new members join the alliance. Countries like Spain will not allow this. As they know: if Kosovo than why not Catalonia?!

The Kosovo issue is not about Kosovo (only). It is much more important!

First of all why does Serbia care if Kosovo gets its army or not? Secondly, every two day a "high-ranking official" whith no name seems to give Serbia what they want to hear, for what we know he may be Greek or Romanian and has nothing to say what happends to Kosovo and its security force let what will happen in the future. Yes, Kosovo Security Force will become Kosovo Armed/Defense Force this year its no secret.

What complete BS. Albanians love being NATO cannon fodder and NATO love using Albanians as cannon fodder. I mean, look at what happened when NATO jets were bombing Albanian convoys in KiM. Albanians kept cheering them on and asking for more...

LOL and how's that working out for internationally recognized countries like Georgia and Ukraine? Best you remain an annoying yet lucrative pet project of NATO rather than a full fledged member.

FACTS:

1.FSK is a Military Force in all but the name, which will soon formally transform to.

2. Kosovos Military Force is being armed and trained by NATO

3. NATO protects and guaranties Kosovo territory. There is a practical example and a legal commitment to prove that.

4. Kosovo trough ALBANIA will "vote" and make it's voice heard.

So, Kosovo IS a NATO member in all but the name, which in fact is better for now, as this way Kosovo will save money by not having to directly contribute to the Alliance.

When the day comes, Kosovo will be a fully flagged member of the Alliance, as there is nothing to legally stop Kosovo from becoming just that. NATO does NOT require that new members are UN member, which Kosovo in any case is very likely to become by than.

How long has it been since albania got into NATO? And how has this help average albanians living standards? Still the arm pit of Europe.

Don't worry about the 'Kovovo leadership', the Pristina politicians each have own mafia clans who 'protect' their godfathers :)

"It is possible to arrive, through talks, at the solution that the KSF will be turned into the armed forces, and that this still be in line with the principles of all in NATO. "

But it's not in line with UN1244, which says only international forces may be armed in Kosovo.

yeah sure no rush.... easy man...

there have been passed only 14 years since they escaped the mass-deportation.

5 years from the declaration of independence - which of course you support... (?)

the first 3 years from the independence we allowed them to have pistols.
the last 2 years we said OK you can buy some assault rifles... not too many 300-500 max.

in the next 5 yrs we may allow them to buy some machineguns

in 10yrs perhaps some armoured personnel carriers...

easy no rush..

in meantime Serbia operates a joint military base with Russians just 60miles north from Kosova.

I only pray God that the Kosova's leadership is not stupid enough to buy this garbage but it has some serious contingency plans.

No according to Serbia the term "state" refers only to those with a seat in the UN. This is why West Germany joined NATO whilst Moscow kept West Germany out of the UN.

If the US wants to, I'm sure it will find a way of getting Kosovo to join it's gang.
