@Peggy obviously you have no policeman friends.

Anytime a detainee acts up regardless of where they are is subject to jusified and appropiate restraint which is legal.

The Serb detainee never suffered what Kosovar detainee suffered under Serb occupation prior to NATO arrival.

And you know exactly what I mean..........
Get over it.

@Peggy HOW DO YOU KNOW THE SERB DIDN'T RESIST ARREST?

WERE YOU THERE?

DID YOU WITNESS IT?

HOW COULD YOU WHEN YOU LIVE HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD........

========================

I am guessing you were there?

Now listen carefully and I will write this slowly so that you can understand.
Even if the Serbs were resisting arrest, once they are at the police station, court house or whatever, they cannot be beaten. They are already in custody and therefore they are NOT RESISTING ARREST at this point.
Do you finally get it?

"Separate hospital reports written by Albanian separatist (doctors)?"

actually, if my memory serves me right, one of them was from Croatian doctors, but you know what, even Yugoslav secret police and military doctors concluded that the injuries had been self inflicted. its one of many myths you have to challenge about yourself. by the way, i stand by what i wrote, Mr Martinovic could never describe what his alleged assailants looked like. it wouldn't be the first time you believe in fairy tales. Next, we'll challenge the widely held belief that Germany broke up ex-Yugoslavia

Its funny reading all these posts by Albanians, your people keep committing crimes but you keep making up excuses then you bring up how serbs committed crimes against your people?? Guess what?? they are all in the hauge and serbs were also slaughtered too.. BTW, albanians in southern serbia/montenegro aren't getting beat down and shot at.. So provide a valid argument. This type of behavior is not acceptable.. I don't care if your a Muslim or a Croat, you don;t do that on a religious holiday.

Azir,
as per Winsotn's comments, you've completely missed the boat on what I said.
I agree, that if you disobey the laws of the land you should be arrested. I agree that if you resist arrest you should be further charged. I agree that if you act violently you should be punished. HOWEVER it IS NOT the role of the arresting officer to impletment the punishment. Those officers that do so, are themselves breaking the law. It is fully the responsibility of the judicial branch to determine and implement the punishment of a law breaker.
If one is a war criminal, as you claim, then, as I already said, there are porper avenues to follow. The Hauge comes to mind. If a person is a non-war criminal there are also proper avenues. A judge is suppose to fill those roles.
A police officer's job is to keep the peace, protect the civilians and arrest without predjiduce when an arrest is warrented.
When someone is willing to enlighten you, as a teacher is, take that education. Don't just lash out without engaging your brain, and taking the time to understand what is being said.
The laws of society are important and must be maintained, but vigilantism, even by officers of the law, is not acceptable in any of the world's majority of countries that Kosovo is backed by or aspires to mimic.

J.Oker

pre 11 godina

In a written statement regarding the Serbs' claims that they were beaten in the court building in Priština, Krasniqi said that EULEX officials talked with the Serbs that had been arrested , "and explained to them the complaints procedure before the Kosovo Police Inspectorate".

Complain at the thugs about the thugs. Will be very successful. Joke of the day.

What a bs. In countries that deserve to be called a state, people are not arrested for 'looking suspicious'. And not for wearing 'forbidden T-shirts'. And in case they are arrested, they are not beaten and abused at the police office. Come up with some better example next time.

Your infamous Milosevic started and lost 4 wars of aggression.
Your shameless leader made history by being the first sitting President to be indicted, and removed to the Hague to face International Justice.

Milosevic brought Serbia isolation and poverty.

You say that they have the doctors report. Well peggy if they got beaten so bad, and in the statement it says that they released them in Prishtina, well why then didn't they go to a doctor there, but had to travel all the way to the north of Mitrovica to check with a doctor. You would say "but they were afraid" well there are alot of EULEX offices in Prishtina, they could have gone there file a report, and ask for their escort to the hospital.
I am not denying that they may have been beaten, because there is a plausibility, but till now there is no proof only statements, and may I say that the statements are from both sides, the police officers in Kosovo deny it.

Darko Vlasaj, one of the group of ten Serbs arrested on Monday, today accused members of the ROSU unit of the KPS of brutally beating him in the court building in Priština.

The 30-year-old resident of Leposavić in the north of the province is now being treated in the urology ward of the Kosovska Mitrovica hospital.

Ok im getting lost here until what age people in Serbia are defined as a YOUNG and what age as a ADULT ..please someone explain!!??? i cant understand this story

Winston

pre 11 godina

azir, who are these Serb criminals you speak of, these men that were arrested and let go because the authorities could not find anything to charge them with? In the meantime, they are brutally beaten by ROSU big men, while prisoners are tied up. These men are young, so they were certainly teenagers when the war was going on, hardly the Serb criminals you say they are. But your problem is that all Serbs are criminals, because you are sick. Like most Albanians, they will overlook all the filth their politicians do, and only concentrate on Serbs. It is not the Serbs that hold Kosovo from prospering, but Thaci and his ex-KLA thugs he surrounds himself with. Wake up, and open your eyes. Your enemies are amongst you. Thaci is the one that should have his genitals kicked in, not this helpless young Serb.

kiko

pre 11 godina

@Winston

Albanians are the likes of Mother Teresa who has won a noble peace prize and are actors like Robert DeNiro and Regis who are part albanian and admit it freely. And many others that influence the lives of millions.

Do you have albanians that are uneducated or still follow the code as you have mentioned. Yes there are. Does the majority follow the code as you point out? The answer is No! You sound just as archaic as the code itself. Do serbs still believe in Myths that they themselves admit to as myths? The answer is Yes! Do we fault them for being daydreamers? No!

Now lets get back to the article. If the police did abuse any of the arrested personnel, then they should be fired, sued, and arrested to the full extent of the law. PERIOD!

Now since none of us know the facts there are many possibilities. I've seen people who have been arrested cause self bodily harm to then claim they were brutally abused by the cops. That's why in the US we have camera's. Wish Serbia and Kosovo/a did as well. People that get arrested that are not innocent never tell the truth. The point is not to refute what the suspects have said but to get to the bottom of it and determine if their is validity to their claim.

They are innocent till proven guilty. Period! It doesn't mean that they can't fabricate stories or the police did their job or didn't.

Winston

pre 11 godina

No, Peggy, there have been two criminals in Kosovo for decades. It's just a matter of who has the upper hand at the time. Albanians and Serbs, are both guilty of brutal acts against each other. They both scream like teenage girls when they feel there has been an injustice put their way. What the real problem here is, is the so-scalled international authorities. They are so keen on keeping law and order and peace, that they close their eyes, and simply allow things to happen. They are the real culprits in these horrific matters. If they treated Albanian and Serbian crimes equally, we would not be having this discussion.

Winston

pre 11 godina

Mendo, jst because the KPS says it's not true, does not make it so. NYC police routinely, after crossing the line, say they are innocent, only to be proven different later. Do you believe everything that comes from the mouth of an Albanian? I think you do.

Peggy

pre 11 godina

(Alban, 9 January 2013 18:48)
==========================

Even if you Albanians somehow find it in your hearts to say that what happened was not right there is always a BUT. But they deserved it.
Now as far as you not believing this story. Tell us, what would it take to convince you that this happened? Would it take an admission from the cops? Maybe even then you would say that he was paid by the Serbs to lie.
Didn't the doctor's report convince you? Are you accusing the doctor of lying or being paid off by the Serbs?
What do you need?

Now for the other unbeliever who says that cops needed to use force to bring them in. THEY WERE ALREADY IN!!! Again, do you guys even read or just shoot your mouths off?
Who made these cops judge, jury and executioner? Who gave them permission to administer their own punishment?
Also, so now only being suspected of a crime is enough to get bashed while in custody.

These Serbs should sue the department and sue EULEX for not doing their job. What advice from EULEX, complain to KPS. Sure complain to the fox for eating your chickens. No complaints, use the law to sue them.

sillyRabbitTrixAreForKids, are you really expecting Albanians to understand what you have written? Albanian Shiptars still live by an age old code, one that they only fully understand. It is hundreds of years old, so that tells you where their minds are. In dealing with Albanians, you are dealing with a primitive, clan-based society, that only respects its own laws, and not that of the modern world. It is like time stood still for the Albanians for centuries, much to the hindrance of their neighbors. The west, US/EU have chosen to back them, obviously for geopolitical reasons, and until that backing is lessened, or gone, the Albanians will continue to behave in their primitive nature. God help all the people in the Balkans that have any dealings with Albanians. Their way is only through revenge, and brutality. Does that sound like a modern society?

I've been thinking that if you guys think KPS is "full of surprises" you ought to know some of the "surprising" things that occur in this country and here's what I mean:

I stumbled upon some on-line video where somewhere in this country some police or sheriff's car pulls over at the station where a police officer(s) or a sheriff's deputy(ies) steps out of the vehicle to open the rear passenger door to remove or escort some boy (might be as young as 7) who was in handcuffs(surprisingly the kid didn't cry nor freak out) and I'm not sure what it was about. In another video (which was a news clip) that I believe somewhere in Florida some 5 year old girl was in the principal's office for unruly behavior but more to the point one or two cops handcuffed her to restrain her and as expected the kid freaked out when being handcuffed and I also discovered an article where some elementary school kid refused to come down when climbing furniture and the school got police involved and what the cop did was pepper spray or spray a can of mace in the student's face and his mom was upset at how her son was treated.

My question to some of you is do some of you feel that KPS is capable of doing these things to kids who act up in Kosovar schools? ( from what I gather the KPS doesn't do these things.) If some of you are upset at what occurs in U.S. schools have you formed the opinion that U.S. is becoming a police state and finally stuff like this doesn't occur in my country (Canada).

How sad that human rights violations that are reminiscent of the 1990s in the Balkans takes place in 2013 in Europe's youngest, most vibrant, and bestest multiethnic democracy right under the nose of American and EULEX supervision. Nice to know that in addition to raiding post offices and harassing election officials, Kosovo's* "special forces" can be proven to overpower an adversary with an offensive T-shirt only after handcuffing him to a toilet and outnumbering him at least 5 to 1.

Not surprising in a state where you don't have anything like a professional skilled and educated police force with some basic minimal standards and who know about laws and what's right and wrong, but only a bunch thugs who 'qualified' for this job because of being former KLA 'freedom fighters'.
(Comm. Parrisson, 9 January 2013 15:31)

Well if they are drawn from the dregs of KLA's amateur Gastarbeiters-turned soldiers who run at the first sight of a gun pointed at them, it's not surprising precautionary measures of intimidation and physical force against one Serbian youth need to be resorted to in lieu of a NATO intervention :)

There will be investigations, but it will fall by the wayside as always, because Eulex is there to keep things quiet, at all costs, usually to Serbs. These young men should not have been arrested in the first place, as they were let go without being charged with anything, but suspicion. Suspicion, really? It would take a Hollywood production to stage all of this, as you (Une, Koso, etc.) claim. These senseless actions, police actions, are in no ones benefit. Things will now escalate on both sides, KFOR will be on high alert, and for Kosovo, no sign of peace still. Do Albanians really want to live like that? I am done. Nothing was learned from history, nothing was learned from conversation, this more than anything proves that the Kosovo Albanians are not capable of reason even if they would want to be, and so deserve no more attempts of reasoning with.

Serbia has given its heroes to the prison systems of their enemies just because the world asked them to. They have done everything they can to promote peace through mutual respect, they have paid for the crimes that were made by a very select few criminals as a whole people. The albanians just go on beating Serbs, and erecting monuments in memorium to people that killed and ethnically cleansed them 10 years ago.

I will look forward to the day where the news papers say "Kosovo is back home".

Une, and Koso, and the like, these prisoners have given their stories to Eulex, and I am sure Eulex representatives have seen some proof of these beatings, especially from the poor soul that was repeatedly kicked in the groin, while tied up. All these men that were arrested are guilty of is being Serbian, that is probably a enough of a crime to Albanians.

It is like time stood still for the Albanians for centuries, much to the hindrance of their neighbors. The west, US/EU have chosen to back them, obviously for geopolitical reasons, and until that backing is lessened, or gone, the Albanians will continue to behave in their primitive nature. Azir,
as per Winsotn's comments, you've completely missed the boat on what I said.

They both scream like teenage girls when they feel there has been an injustice put their way. What the real problem here is, is the so-scalled international authorities.

Azir,
as per Winsotn's comments, you've completely missed the boat on what I said.

Just saw on Kosovar news and the police are saying this is absolutely not tru. I guss more Serbian propaganda here. Otherwise if this was tru it would have been a shameful act.
(Mendo, 9 January 2013 20:48)

Probably they have beaten themselves. Just like Martinovic in eighties when he put Coca Cola bottle inside his anus and accused Albanians. You remember that Mendo? The level of ignorance displayed by Albanians on on this site is horrendous.

@Peggy HOW DO YOU KNOW THE SERB DIDN'T RESIST ARREST?

WERE YOU THERE?

DID YOU WITNESS IT?

HOW COULD YOU WHEN YOU LIVE HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD........

Let's hope the Albanians keep behaving like this - then one day NATO might have to bomb them.

Ethnic cleansing of my (very peaceful and nice) Serbian friends from Kosovo predated Milosevic. The Albanians have their mono-ethnic society (courtesy of the US) and will not ever tolerate Serbs any more than they have to.

the police officers in Kosovo deny it.
(Alban, 10 January 2013 01:19)

Really? What a surprise and your claim that they shouldve visited a hospital in Pristina is too stupid to even answer. Beaten by albanians and go to an albanian hospital right?LOL

Peggy

pre 11 godina

The Serb would be wrong if he refused to answer Police questioning.
The Serb would be wrong to NOT CO-operate.
The Serb would be wrong to resist ARRREST.
The Serb would be wrong to ASSAULT LAW ENFORCEMENT.
AND ON AND ON.

SO YOU SEE EVEN IF YOU ORIGINAL WERE "INNOCENT" YOUR REACTION COULD BE CONSIDERED CRIMINAL IN MOST IF NOT ALL STATES.

Understand now Peggy?
(azir, 10 January 2013 11:58)

You have a fantastic imagination.
Did any of that happen in this case?

The Serbs were ALREADY IN CUSTODY. They did not resist anyone.

========================

Maybe to the Medicus clinic in downtown Pristina? They have the best doctors in Kosovo, I heard :)

Real Mendo

there were separate hospital reports into that and both stated that the injury was self inflicted. odd that mr Martinovic could never describe what his 'attackers' looked like
(Nikolle, 11 January 2013 01:06)

Separate hospital reports written by Albanian separatist (doctors)? It just shows level of ignorance (and hate) you and others Albanian posters have.

Pls say it ain't so!!!

Yes. Greak use them from Sicily to against Roman.
