A question arises: how can one steal a country? Do you just put it in your pocket and exit hoping the alarm wont go off? What is Kosovo? Is it a car, a phone, a person, an icon from a church, a flag? Another question how can a country be owned? What in a country is owned? the earth, the airspace, the empty rivers, forgotten paths? Who owns them and what justifies this ownership? History? Or religion perhaps? Or a old document signed by Sirs with moustache?

Reality check to Mr.Dacic; Albanians do exist in Kosovo! I promise it's not a myth, i have seen it with my own eyes. And guess what? There are far more Albanians in Kosovo than serbs (please hold your mind from blowing up) furthermore Kosovo has through the years developed its own culture, languages, religions, traditions and subsequently its own identity. The Kosovars, regardless of ethnicity, dont se themselves as part of Albania, Serbia, Turkey, Bangladesh etc.

Bottom line is this; Kosovo belongs to its people AND its people are those who live there today period!

I dont think Serbia managed to annex Kosovo legally in 1912 when it 'liberated' the territory during the Second Balkan War. So it technically never had it.

But legally, Kosovo was not incorporated into the Serbian kingdom in 1912; it remained occupied territory until some time after 1918. Then, finally, it was incorporated, not into a Serbian state, but into a Yugoslav one.

Even within Yugoslavia it was a 'de facto' republic, and only under Serbia in name. Kosovo's extraordinary status was the reason Slobo amended the Constitution and precipitated the Bosnian and Croat War.

Let us then not forget these inconvenient truths.

the facts are very simple. Before the Ottomans took Kosovo and the rest of Serbia in the Batlle of Kosovo, Kosovo belonged to the Brankovic realm,
a Serbian fiefdom next to Serbia. It never belonged to Albania as Albania was created after the first Balkan war(under a German prinz)in 1912,however just after Serbia reconquered Kosovo from the Ottomans. I hope this helps.

Nice projection, but DNA studies have already proven that all the different Balkan ethnicities are indeed quite real and do not have the same distribution of the various European haplogroups (source: “Distribution of European Y-DNA haplogroups by country in percentage“, eupedia.com).
