MarKo,

Yes, but unless you have gold, diamonds, oil or rare minerals, investors aren't going to invest in a place where they might feel their investment is in jeopardy if they can get the same deal next door without the troubles (real or perceived)

“The decision also represents that the state is not ready to protect the constitutional right to peaceful assembly and freedom of speech,” she added.

When freedom of speech includes insulting perversion then Serbia can do without that thank you very much. When I see what this gay week has evolved into then I am actually quite proud of Serbs for resisting it because we can do without it. Keep it in the West thank you very much, we don't need naked people walking around our streets promoting orgies and perversion while attacking the church at the same time.

Here is a glimpse of what they have introduced, where riot police are needed to guard it for the sake of 100 invited guests. Check -> http://www.vesti-online.com/Vesti/Srbija/257571/Isus-medu-gejevima-na-Beograd-prajdu

"The Pride Parade organizers also say that the decision to ban the parade shows that the state has succumbed to the pressure of hooligans and violence."

Exactly that's the image the Serbian government is sending out to the world.

"How do you think potential foreign investors react when the read from the news that Serbia is a country that doesn't respect individual rights and has a problem with violence on the street with people protesting AGAINST human rights. "

I think investors and other people are more concerned about the Serbian state not being able to keep the public order, but giving in to violent groups of hooligans, thugs and extremists. For example, what will happen if some of the extremist leaders decide to call for destruction of a, let's say, US-owned factory in Serbia? Te Serbian interior minister is saying: "Sorry, we cannot protect you", and let the thugs destroy it.

About the Serbian church patriarchs: The situation is not far from Muslim countries, where some Imams incite people and call for riots, and the extremist shout 'Hurrah' and start their ugly actions.

A bad day for Serbia, for sure...

Investors don't care about anything other than making money. Believe me, plenty of people invest in countries with far worse acceptance of Homosexuals. I have never heard of a bond or currency devaluation based on a parade.

There are those who say that this is a bad time to have a parade because of a bad economic situation.

How do you think potential foreign investors react when the read from the news that Serbia is a country that doesn't respect individual rights and has a problem with violence on the street with people protesting AGAINST human rights.

It's definitely not going to sway anyone's decision to invest, even if they may themselves be homophobic, because it (correctly) makes Serbia look like an unstable place that unable to control its hooligans.
