This is obviously a touchy subject for the Albanians judging by the number of comments.. I think the Albanians are living in a collective denial. Why are they suprised?

If you look at all the atrocities and barbaric methods in the 90's used by the Albanians in order to gain independance, why is it so difficult to believe that Albanians harvested Human Organs?

ben, i wonder what level of pristine conditions one might expect in a mobile army hospital, and what level of advanced equipement one might find in such a canvas tent. further i wonder how many injured soldiers who required very invasive surguries survived these horribly filthy conditions.
i would suspect that these mobile hospitals are far less than pristine that they should be, but better than an acceptable minimum.
it is possible, though unlikely, yet we've seen many unlikely events without our own lives to preclude the ability to outright deny the possibility.

If not the organ will be contaminated and non transplantable - unsealable if you wish. This story doesn't hold the scrutiny of a 10 year old child. Serbia one more time is making a joke out of her self.

forget carla, dr marty has evidence apparently. he has been challenged on numerous occasions to hand it over, hasn't done in two years. also if i remember correctly, wasn't it one of carla's people who destroyed the evidence? its ok, you hang on to this witness who was afraid of a scalple

though the crdibility of this tale is questionable, as are most very outrageous true and false stories. however the denying this tale because such actions are normally done in pristine environments and highly skilled professionals is not quit a fair assesment. certainly ideal conditions are ideal, for a reason. let us consider the massive number of chemical drug manufactures who work in their garages, making toxic and explosive stuff in not so pristine environments, and not so skilled makers. these farm boys are able to create a chemical that should only be made in a proper lab, and millionaires are willing to purchase the stuff made by these farm boys.
sometimes the task isn't as strenuous as it seems, and sometimes it can be done in far-less-than-ideal circumstances. perhaps this is one of those times.

yes, except, in Racak we actually had the dead bodies. in here, we have dubious testimony and Mart's refusal to submit his so called evidence. i didn't know organ removal was such an easy thing. it was even done on a human who hadn't been anesthetized. so how did they stop the human from moving about, did they tie him? or were 4 people holding each of his arms and legs? seriously this testimony is too far fetched.

. All they needed to do is to take the organ out and pass it on to a criminal doctor present at the time, something that every hunter and butcher can do (technically, morally, it takes a specially depraved kind of person, something you have in abundance within KLA).

You only show ignorance with such a statement. do you for one minute believe that someone who can afford to pay 100,000 for a heart and the cost of the surgery plus recovery, is going to say hey go get some farmboy to go out and cut a heart out of someone and I will give you the money. And you are wrong every hunter and butcher may be able to cut out a heart but to have that heart transplantable is another story. And yes ONLY skilled surgeons are used to retrieve organs and it does take training, which one cannot get by practicing on plastic dummies.

I dont want to hear it from you albos on here about credibility. It is well known worldwide, that albanian mobs are leaders in drug smuggling, organ harvesting, trafficking etc. It doesn't take a genius to do some research on that. The fact that Carla Del Pont had zero to gain, only to lose by making those comments, touched on these issues in her book. And even questioned why the UN investigation files were destroyed, says that this definitely holds water. Sounds like the UN at the time was piecing together this evidence. And the interests of the world were at stake. What i mean is that deals were already made..regarding the territory, and this coming out might have put a significant end to all of that. Even the average person would say that its crazy to side with a bunch of thugs, and mafia members. The media had already created "its" image of Serbia worldwide..the propaganda machine was well oiled already..and there was no turning back. Bottom line is that it indeed happened, was investigated, and there are people that know much more about this. And when it comes to the forefront..thaci, haradanj..and many others will stand to pay. And this so called "fake declaration of a country" will show its true colors worldwide. If any of you albos actually think this issue is over, and that independance is irreversible..you are grossly kidding yourself, or you dont know much about Serbian people period.

Why is the health care costs so high in the USA? They say the costs are too high. I don't know what they are talking about. You can take any young Albanian. Train him in a couple hours without really telling him what your training him to do and POOF. Easy medical care.

I don't know if anyone ever cut a chickens head off but it's not that easy to do a clean cut. I can't imagine how a professional Albanian soldier (lol) can do it no problem. Especially with shaky hands and a wide awake struggling patient.

If this is true though, all involved should be removed from this earth.

How do you think organs are collected in road traffic accidents? Besides, Ponte and Marty have uncovered that many harvestings were simply done on Serbian prisoners and with no view to actually selling them for use in humans (practice, research etc were also reasons for selling the organs).

As far as the procedure described, this was done under direct guidance of the surgeon, by a person with rudimentary knowledge of the organ removal procedure. Any butcher knows how to remove an organ cleanly, and that was all that was needed. Also, note that the skin was cut with the scalpel, NOT ribs. And after all that, read the reports by Dick Marty and Karla de Ponte, who knew and reported on this years ago.

To all albanian commentators - stop pretending that you misheard - nobody was trained to be an expert surgeon. Your own criminals were trained to butcher organs out of the bodies, extraction, NOT transplantation. Dardan, there are many Youtube videos that dispute William Walkers claim as to what happened in Racak. Many claim it was a hoax. Who are we to believe? In any case, what does Racak have to do with the KLA's alleged organ-harvesting before, during, and after the civil war? Watch a German documentary, yes German, on Youtube called "It started with a lie", it will enlighten you beyond belief.

You are right that organ extraction and organ transplantation is two different scenarios, but:
Both require skill and technique.
One cannot cut someone open with a scapel and remove a heart. You also need a bone saw, rib spreaders and then again with a scapel to cut into the pericardium.
The heart must be removed with the veins intact and with enough to trim and attach to the new pt.
The heart has to be immediately packed in ice to prevent further death of tissue, not just a box.
And per the article he WAS being trained to DO transplants in the field in case fellow KLA were injured. I suppose so they can suddenly jump up after their heart transplant and continue fighting. After all the entire thing should take no more than a scapel and a sewing kit and about 20 minutes, you think. I really don't think you "dunno yet"

A) this man could have been sent in to spread disinfo and destroy any future investigations maybee Bruno might have been taken in.

B) the doctor did not take direct part in the matter and so keeeping his oath and some sort of legal defense if things went sour.

C) this witness might not have been the only one trained, expectations might have been to have somewhat trained personal at hand throughout a battlefield.

D) To all those that think organ extraction requires state of the art buildings you are completely wrong. Organ extraction can happen in mobile vans, tents or houses with easily transportable equipment. Organ extraction and organ transplants are two different things.Extraction if you intend to keep the donor source alive ie liver etc does require complex procedures.

E) a maximum of 5 hours is given for a heart to be transplanted, ask him for the date and time and search records of any donor hearts arriving for scheduled operations and flight logs at certain airports in question. This might be part of the 99% not told and would corroborate the witness testimony.

This is one of the most bizarre stories I have ever read.
Any health professional, in particular a surgeon would need years of training to extract an organ, here we have a guy he had few hours of training, feels sick by just being in the room, yet managed to assist and not only that but remove, not a nail, but a human heart?!
Lets say this happened, why on earth ask a bystander to hold a scalpel, carry out such a highly sophisticated operation if preset were supposedly some surgeons, experts?!
As a reader I feel my intelligence has been insulted, to find such story by a supposedly super surgeon, carrying out procedures that takes 10+ of training for a dedicated medical Dr.

Procuring human organs in Albania for European trafficking is a well know fact. This is about money/profit not sterile technique!

Albania is often identified as a source country for organ trafficking by various international organizations.

According the American Medical Association & The Organs Watch, Albania is one of the countries identified as destination for the so-called “transplant tourism.”

Well, I don't know about this testimony. It does seem a bit far fetched. Do I believe that the KLA did do organ harvesting, without a doubt, but why would you have a young soldier doing the actual organ extraction? OK this story sounds to me as horror film with 10 thousand Euro budget.

We were holding his legs and he was screaming... for the first time in my life I saw a scalpel.. yet the doctor asked ME to do the transplant (remove the heart)...

now I have zero and I mean literally zero medical expertise but I would think these kind of surgical interventions need to be performed by highly trained teams (I mean teams, that is: more than one man. and preferably not people that for the first time in his/their life see a scalpel), the hygienic conditions must be super high if not for something else at least for not to contaminate the extracted organ. The heart from the extraction to the implant cannot take more than 3-4 hours.

In this case we have "highly trained" surgeon (who sees for the first time in his life a scalpel) then a drive to the airport (knowing the roads of Albania at that time it takes eternity) then the flight to Turkey or any other country would take at least couple of hours. The authorities of the receiving country should be the dumbest people on earth watching these cases full of organs flying from a war zone and make no questions...and so one...

Oh my Lord I see all surgeons of the world having a great great laugh at this story coming from the Serbian authorities and I see the Serbian surgeons crying from the embarrassment :)

All I can say, and lets put our biased opinions aside, is that there is just too much information, speculation, and accusation, of organ-harvesting in KiM and Albania by the KLA and associates, for this not to have merit. Like a previous commentator said, the organ trade is alive and well today in KiM and Albania, why would we think it did not happen during the war? It is a hideous matter, that a human being could actual do this to another, regardless of fighting for independence, or pure hate - and must be thoroughly investigated. It is purely the right and just thing to do. I just hope that politics does not get in the way, as it would make some politicians, their backers, and nations, look very bad.

What annoys me even more is the lack of action from the Kosovan side for not countering such vicious Serbian allegations with the rapes, tortures and the disgusting ethnic cleansing that took place against the majority local Albanian population during the war! This is one of the most bizarre stories I have ever read.
Any health professional, in particular a surgeon would need years of training to extract an organ, here we have a guy he had few hours of training, feels sick by just being in the room, yet managed to assist and not only that but remove, not a nail, but a human heart?!
Lets say this happened, why on earth ask a bystander to hold a scalpel, carry out such a highly sophisticated operation if preset were supposedly some surgeons, experts?!
As a reader I feel my intelligence has been insulted, to find such story by a supposedly super surgeon, carrying out procedures that takes 10+ of training for a dedicated medical Dr.

Well, I don't know about this testimony. It does seem a bit far fetched. Do I believe that the KLA did do organ harvesting, without a doubt, but why would you have a young soldier doing the actual organ extraction? Procuring human organs in Albania for European trafficking is a well know fact. This is about money/profit not sterile technique!

Albania is often identified as a source country for organ trafficking by various international organizations.

According the American Medical Association & The Organs Watch, Albania is one of the countries identified as destination for the so-called “transplant tourism.”

Before any of you with no empathy and common sense speak and ridicule innocent Serbian victims of this genocide, listen carefully to the testimony.

This was simple ORGAN HARVESTING not transplantation, and yes, barely 2-3 hours after that, the organ could have been in a German private clinic (already found to have used organs harvested in Kosovo for their patients) ready for transplantation.

How do you think organs are collected in road traffic accidents? Besides, Ponte and Marty have uncovered that many harvestings were simply done on Serbian prisoners and with no view to actually selling them for use in humans (practice, research etc were also reasons for selling the organs).

As far as the procedure described, this was done under direct guidance of the surgeon, by a person with rudimentary knowledge of the organ removal procedure. Any butcher knows how to remove an organ cleanly, and that was all that was needed. Also, note that the skin was cut with the scalpel, NOT ribs. And after all that, read the reports by Dick Marty and Karla de Ponte, who knew and reported on this years ago.

You are right that organ extraction and organ transplantation is two different scenarios, but:
Both require skill and technique.
One cannot cut someone open with a scapel and remove a heart. You also need a bone saw, rib spreaders and then again with a scapel to cut into the pericardium.
The heart must be removed with the veins intact and with enough to trim and attach to the new pt.
The heart has to be immediately packed in ice to prevent further death of tissue, not just a box.

How do you think organs are collected in road traffic accidents? Besides, Ponte and Marty have uncovered that many harvestings were simply done on Serbian prisoners and with no view to actually selling them for use in humans (practice, research etc were also reasons for selling the organs).

As far as the procedure described, this was done under direct guidance of the surgeon, by a person with rudimentary knowledge of the organ removal procedure. Any butcher knows how to remove an organ cleanly, and that was all that was needed. Also, note that the skin was cut with the scalpel, NOT ribs. And after all that, read the reports by Dick Marty and Karla de Ponte, who knew and reported on this years ago.

It is well known worldwide, that albanian mobs are leaders in drug smuggling, organ harvesting, trafficking etc. It doesn't take a genius to do some research on that. The fact that Carla Del Pont had zero to gain, only to lose by making those comments, touched on these issues in her book. And even questioned why the UN investigation files were destroyed, says that this definitely holds water. Sounds like the UN at the time was piecing together this evidence. And the interests of the world were at stake. What i mean is that deals were already made..regarding the territory, and this coming out might have put a significant end to all of that. Even the average person would say that its crazy to side with a bunch of thugs, and mafia members. B) the doctor did not take direct part in the matter and so keeeping his oath and some sort of legal defense if things went sour.

C) this witness might not have been the only one trained, expectations might have been to have somewhat trained personal at hand throughout a battlefield.

Organ extraction can happen in mobile vans, tents or houses with easily transportable equipment. Why is the health care costs so high in the USA? They say the costs are too high. I don't know what they are talking about. You can take any young Albanian. Train him in a couple hours without really telling him what your training him to do and POOF. Easy medical care.

I don't know if anyone ever cut a chickens head off but it's not that easy to do a clean cut. I can't imagine how a professional Albanian soldier (lol) can do it no problem. Especially with shaky hands and a wide awake struggling patient.

ben, i wonder what level of pristine conditions one might expect in a mobile army hospital, and what level of advanced equipement one might find in such a canvas tent. further i wonder how many injured soldiers who required very invasive surguries survived these horribly filthy conditions.
i would suspect that these mobile hospitals are far less than pristine that they should be, but better than an acceptable minimum.
it is possible, though unlikely, yet we've seen many unlikely events without our own lives to preclude the ability to outright deny the possibility.

though the crdibility of this tale is questionable, as are most very outrageous true and false stories. however the denying this tale because such actions are normally done in pristine environments and highly skilled professionals is not quit a fair assesment. certainly ideal conditions are ideal, for a reason. let us consider the massive number of chemical drug manufactures who work in their garages, making toxic and explosive stuff in not so pristine environments, and not so skilled makers. these farm boys are able to create a chemical that should only be made in a proper lab, and millionaires are willing to purchase the stuff made by these farm boys.

OK this story sounds to me as horror film with 10 thousand Euro budget.

We were holding his legs and he was screaming... for the first time in my life I saw a scalpel.. yet the doctor asked ME to do the transplant (remove the heart)...

now I have zero and I mean literally zero medical expertise but I would think these kind of surgical interventions need to be performed by highly trained teams (I mean teams, that is: more than one man. and preferably not people that for the first time in his/their life see a scalpel), the hygienic conditions must be super high if not for something else at least for not to contaminate the extracted organ. The heart from the extraction to the implant cannot take more than 3-4 hours.

In this case we have "highly trained" surgeon (who sees for the first time in his life a scalpel) then a drive to the airport (knowing the roads of Albania at that time it takes eternity) then the flight to Turkey or any other country would take at least couple of hours. The authorities of the receiving country should be the dumbest people on earth watching these cases full of organs flying from a war zone and make no questions...and so one...

Oh my Lord I see all surgeons of the world having a great great laugh at this story coming from the Serbian authorities and I see the Serbian surgeons crying from the embarrassment :)

This is one of the most bizarre stories I have ever read.
Any health professional, in particular a surgeon would need years of training to extract an organ, here we have a guy he had few hours of training, feels sick by just being in the room, yet managed to assist and not only that but remove, not a nail, but a human heart?!
Lets say this happened, why on earth ask a bystander to hold a scalpel, carry out such a highly sophisticated operation if preset were supposedly some surgeons, experts?!
As a reader I feel my intelligence has been insulted, to find such story by a supposedly super surgeon, carrying out procedures that takes 10+ of training for a dedicated medical Dr.

All I can say, and lets put our biased opinions aside, is that there is just too much information, speculation, and accusation, of organ-harvesting in KiM and Albania by the KLA and associates, for this not to have merit. Like a previous commentator said, the organ trade is alive and well today in KiM and Albania, why would we think it did not happen during the war? It is a hideous matter, that a human being could actual do this to another, regardless of fighting for independence, or pure hate - and must be thoroughly investigated. It is purely the right and just thing to do. I just hope that politics does not get in the way, as it would make some politicians, their backers, and nations, look very bad.

This was simple ORGAN HARVESTING not transplantation, and yes, barely 2-3 hours after that, the organ could have been in a German private clinic (already found to have used organs harvested in Kosovo for their patients) ready for transplantation.

How do you think organs are collected in road traffic accidents? Besides, Ponte and Marty have uncovered that many harvestings were simply done on Serbian prisoners and with no view to actually selling them for use in humans (practice, research etc were also reasons for selling the organs).

As far as the procedure described, this was done under direct guidance of the surgeon, by a person with rudimentary knowledge of the organ removal procedure. Any butcher knows how to remove an organ cleanly, and that was all that was needed. Also, note that the skin was cut with the scalpel, NOT ribs. And after all that, read the reports by Dick Marty and Karla de Ponte, who knew and reported on this years ago.

You are right that organ extraction and organ transplantation is two different scenarios, but:
Both require skill and technique.
One cannot cut someone open with a scapel and remove a heart. You also need a bone saw, rib spreaders and then again with a scapel to cut into the pericardium.
The heart must be removed with the veins intact and with enough to trim and attach to the new pt.
The heart has to be immediately packed in ice to prevent further death of tissue, not just a box.
And per the article he WAS being trained to DO transplants in the field in case fellow KLA were injured. I suppose so they can suddenly jump up after their heart transplant and continue fighting. After all the entire thing should take no more than a scapel and a sewing kit and about 20 minutes, you think. I really don't think you "dunno yet"

It is well known worldwide, that albanian mobs are leaders in drug smuggling, organ harvesting, trafficking etc. It doesn't take a genius to do some research on that. The fact that Carla Del Pont had zero to gain, only to lose by making those comments, touched on these issues in her book. Well, I don't know about this testimony. It does seem a bit far fetched. Do I believe that the KLA did do organ harvesting, without a doubt, but why would you have a young soldier doing the actual organ extraction? To maybe know how to do it on the actual battlefield? - possibly. Who knows? Everyone in the West is dragging their feet in these investigations, hoping the entire matter goes away. In any case, what does Racak have to do with the KLA's alleged organ-harvesting before, during, and after the civil war? Why is the health care costs so high in the USA? They say the costs are too high. I don't know what they are talking about. You can take any young Albanian. Train him in a couple hours without really telling him what your training him to do and POOF. Easy medical care.

I don't know if anyone ever cut a chickens head off but it's not that easy to do a clean cut. I can't imagine how a professional Albanian soldier (lol) can do it no problem. Especially with shaky hands and a wide awake struggling patient.

though the crdibility of this tale is questionable, as are most very outrageous true and false stories. however the denying this tale because such actions are normally done in pristine environments and highly skilled professionals is not quit a fair assesment. certainly ideal conditions are ideal, for a reason. let us consider the massive number of chemical drug manufactures who work in their garages, making toxic and explosive stuff in not so pristine environments, and not so skilled makers. these farm boys are able to create a chemical that should only be made in a proper lab, and millionaires are willing to purchase the stuff made by these farm boys.
sometimes the task isn't as strenuous as it seems, and sometimes it can be done in far-less-than-ideal circumstances. perhaps this is one of those times.

ben, i wonder what level of pristine conditions one might expect in a mobile army hospital, and what level of advanced equipement one might find in such a canvas tent. further i wonder how many injured soldiers who required very invasive surguries survived these horribly filthy conditions.
i would suspect that these mobile hospitals are far less than pristine that they should be, but better than an acceptable minimum.
it is possible, though unlikely, yet we've seen many unlikely events without our own lives to preclude the ability to outright deny the possibility.
