"I wonder what reception a bus of Albanians wearing shirts with Republic of Kosova and waving Kosovo flags would receive in the great humanitarian city of Belgrade? Can you truthfully answer that one."
(think about it, 1 July 2012 12:34)

No I cannot, maybe worth a try? But be careful that the bus from Kosovo going to Belgrade is using Serbian number plates, otherwise they could be confiscated at the crossings :)

Well, please mind that visiting your OWN country does not make you a tourist :)

I guess it makes you a visitor :)

More likely: A story about KPS seizing some plates because they don't like the letters on them. Or stopping bikes because they have been decorated with Cyrillic words. Or, beware, someone dares to carry a Serbian flag! Or religious items! All crimes in the law-abiding state of Kosovo! Or we could read about the usual 'playing kids' who throw stones or, like recently happened, Molotov cocktails on vehicles passing bay. Though, with a group of bikers, I'm not sure if these 'kids' would dare it :)

Or possibly the bikers will show respect for the people of Kosovo and receive the same in return! An element sometimes omitted from the reports.

Just as set in your thinking that Kosovo is Serbia is the thinking of Albanians in Kosovo that Kosovo is Independent of Serbia. Just as you would take such a demonstration as being provocative so would one be perceived in Kosovo.

"Would be nice if more people thought like you. However, not it's not likely. Wouldn't be surprised if we read tomorrows headlines: Hooligan biker gang attack Kosovo police with nuclear bombs. 37 serb bikers killed in self defence."

it's great that all these tourists are coming to Kosovo. we need more of them. if they could just drop the silly rhetoric that would be great :) but it's fine we'll still sell all the beer they can drink. to the last drop ;)

“because the bikers have proven that they are not coming to Kosovo to cause problems but to help the Serbian people”.

I wish you a pleasant and safe stay...may you energize the people and make all of them happy.

Sincerely,

Such a reversal of attitude.
I wonder if there were only 30 coming from Serbia you would have the same acceptance.
That number 1500 is a bit frightening and you may not be able to have 10-1 ratio to intimidate.

I hope they brought their bulletproof vests. Because the albanians will greet them as they greet all peaceloving people, with guns and bullets.
(MikeC, 30 June 2012 16:15)

And by "peaceloving people" I assume you mean those who throw petrol bombs, rocks, shoot policemen, burn buildings to the ground and block off roads?

I wish there will be one day when Albanians with bike or not from Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, and USA will go in Presheva, Bujanovc and Medvegja just for fun. But for now my wish is that those bikers that are going to Motrovica, will not create any trouble but act as humans.

After all the news that one reads hear regarding KiM, all the fighting, disputes, police brutality, rock throwing, molotov cocktails, provocations, it warms one heart to read about this biker action. People have forgotten how to have fun in certain parts of the world, because politicians will not allow them with their constant bombardment of self-serving political trash. God bless these caring, and unselfish people. The world needs more of these actions, and less conflicts at stupid administrative lines.
