With your sky-high birthrate and ocean-bottom-low illiterate rate, you rule Kosovo first, Balkan next, whole Europe next....Slow down your mating!
(oceangreen, 25 April 2012 18:03)

Kosovo's birthrate is actually in decline, contrary to popular belief.

Just out of curiosity, are you 100% American?

isn't it the case that most americans wouldn't know what Kosova is let alone know where it was? those 200-years-behind albanians sure as hell aren't dumb. after all, according to you, they got NATO to bomb Serbia with their whining and crying. thank you for recognizing our independence, rest assured the US still rates highly in the eyes of the kosovars even when the rest of the world seems to hate you.

"And American tourists will have somewhere to visit on their next trip, after checking out the Hillary boutique and the Bill Clinton statue.
(Amer, 25 April 2012 21:56)"

Don't put your faith in statues or shops grasshopper. They are mere artifice. Ask Lenin or Saddam Hussein! And the economic reality is that shops can be closed overnight. If these are the only symbols which give you a sense of confidence, you will deserve the inevitable. I would encourage you to instead make peace with the immediate and real powers in your neighborhood, namely Serbia. She is not going anywhere, and like Mordor, her eye is always fixed south.

Can't people say anything positive about this centre unrelated to war?

I hope that in the next natural disaster it proves to support Serbia and neighbouring countries.

Just helping human beings in need.

Well, after the U.S. adventure in Iraq and the lack of oil contracts that followed it, I have my doubts. But, on a more cheerful note, you have to admire the instinct for commerce the Kosovars are showing, for example the new collection center for fruits and vegetables with refrigerated storage. Farmers won't have to sell immediately after harvest, when the prices are lowest, and people will be able to buy fresh year-round. And American tourists will have somewhere to visit on their next trip, after checking out the Hillary boutique and the Bill Clinton statue.
(Amer, 25 April 2012 21:56)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Amer, are you talking about your Albanians' vegetable stand? Buddy, you live 200 years behind everybody. On a cheerful note, you Albanians are at least doing something other than making troubles.
Clinton statue and Hilary garden? Haha, you provide more for Americans and the world to laugh at: what desperate poor farmers you are!
Buddy, as a proud American, I don't need you, to teach me international business or foreign relations. Don't even start it....Instead, focus on growing your vegetables and tending your vegetable stand.

Metrod, Good comment
Instead of a 4 months election campaign, Serbia needs a 4 year election campaign :)
Then will Serbia prosper with government officials like Mr Tadic at the top.
(but when will these politicians learn to fulfill their promises in the 4 years and not just before the election)
@Adrian Gashi
The KLA was fighting the Yugoslavian police in Kosovo for two years.
And since 1999 Milosevic deployed the Yugoslavian army in Kosovo, the result was: they beat the KLA in that short time!
Then the bombings of NATO started....

"Our military could liberate Kosovo and albania in weeks."

Really? Why couldn't then, your military beat the KLA in more than two years that it was fighting it?
"The guerilla army wins if he does not lose," said Henry Kissinger, "The conventional army loses if it does not win."
When the war ended KLA was in Prishtina celebrating, and your military was out with the tail between its legs.
So tell me again, how did your military win the war?

Oh Momcilo, do not you worry. We have made sure that the Serbian army is just a shadow of what it was. The greatest irony is that Serbs are doing this themselves through democratically elected officials who are executing so-called reforms, aka "greatest successes". Example, just yesterday, Serbian Army (VS) Chief of Staff Lt.Gen. Ljubiša Diković said that abolishment of compulsory military service was one of the army's "greatest successes".

www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2012&mm=04&dd=24&nav_id=79927

He is right because we have made sure that you have no money to feed all those soldiers. Your government helps a lot in that too. It is also good because the size of your army is down to crumbs. Win win.

These elected officials are those we keep by the balls and direct like puppets because of their past. Every now and then we remind them of things:

www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2012&mm=04&dd=24&nav_id=79927

Enjoy your democracy.

At first blush I was going to commend you for what seemed a sensible post. The more that I consider the situation, I begin to disagree. Reason being is that the sun is quickly setting on American imperialism. With the current cutbacks and withdrawals taking place in more important spots around the world, I doubt that it will be much longer before camp bondsteel is abandoned entirely. There are more important places for the US to put its money into. And so the prospects for Kosovo are bleak: economic and political strangulation via non-recognition, and eventually military liberation.

History repeats itself. I've said it before and I'll say it again, progressive and forward thinking Albanians will choose emigration to the west before things get much worse for themselves and their children. Many are already choosing this option, and the policy of demographic warfare via prolific procreation (despite poverty), is not as attractive as it once was in the days of Jugoslavija. The present enemy is not Serbs but rather the grim political and economic climate which will only get worse, that and an extremely hostile and aggrieved neighbor to the north.
(nick, 25 April 2012 18:59)

Nick, I do not know if you are Albanian or what but this was a brilliant post and right on the dot. Albanians have a historic moment to make a real agreement with Serbia and I think fair and for the sake of peace that is Northern Kosovo, Gracanica and Strpce remain under Serbia and Kosovo gets no UN recognition but no tampering from the Serbs.

But Albanians not only continue to kill civilians in the South but actually think they can come to the North where they have no business and steal more than they have thus far.

For this reason alone, we will take everything back and you will have to go back to Tirana.

Cg - Your mind is like a record player, wherever the needle is at the time you post your thoughts without thinking about what you're saying. Nobody is putting nuclear weapons in Serbia. Your own leaders would never want that fool. As for the humanitarian center, that's all that it is...a humanitarian center. Russia cannot even keep their own back yard clean let alone fight your battles or assist you. In 20 years they never assisted you with any military help besides rag-tag Russian volunteers that got creamed. They support you with "strong protests" in political forums and thats about it. Oh, forgot about Konuzin slapping you fools around and making fun of your politicians. Serbia will never be able to defend itself properly against an alliance like NATO whom Kosovars will one day be a part of. The resources NATO can call upon are just too vast. You think your "Super Galebs" stand a chance against NATO aircraft? LOL Your Mig's were all shot down or went into hiding during 1999 war of Kosova liberation.

Serbs fight to last a while before they are defeated. Albanians fight to win. Serbia should focus on building better relationships with their neighbors instead of focusing on building up their military. You can build it up as much as you want, but it will always be knocked down like a deck of cards like it always has been. Always remember that the Albanians rose up against you and fought and won!
