The dear colonel will weather this storm ,NATO right about now are slapping their forehead because of their quick recognition of the rebels as the "true representatives" of the people. They believed that helping the rebels would put them in a strong position to milk Libya's leviathan oil reserves and didnt count on a stiff resistance ,I for one hope to God that Gaddafi comes through the victor and presents the West with a massive bill per barrel (if he chooses to at all!).

Now they are mulling over "protecting the human rights of the Syrian people" when in reality they just want to drag Iran - Syria's ally - into the equation ... Be warned NATO ,China's dragon has slept long enough ,Russia and China have abstained from voting in the UN for too long and their patience is wearing thin.

Long live Muammar al Gaddafi ,may he live out his years in his native land free from the Criminal-run International Court

Maybe the next time when several hundred thousand people march against the cuts in the public sector in UK, Gaddafi could persuade foreign powers to recognise the marchers as the legitimate government of the UK; and then he could petition the UN to pass a resolution to bomb Cameron and Clegg out of Downing Street on "humanitarian grounds".

Yes, this could happen - if the UK government would repeatedly send tanks and soldiers (or even military jets and snipers), killing some dozens of people, to chase away the protesters.

Muammar Gaddafi could be next. Lets hope he is next so that this war comes to an end, instead dragging it out for another six months. It'd be the lesser of two evils.

If it's overcrowding in heaven that you are worried about--don't. No matter how many innocent women and children NATO incinerates with their bombs, there will always be room for good guys like you that denounced Tony Blair.

Ian, what are you talking about? The war has nothing to do with "Humanitaring Bombing" to save civilians and everything to do with control of Libyian oil. I have said all along the only losers in this conflict will be the Libyian people. Do you think the yanks and your poms are dropping those bombs on Libyian soil free of charged?

If you were really a man of principle and justice you would be protesting this bombing campaign conducted in the name of your country.

I hope he survives this war and drags you to financial bankruptcy. Your war mongering has to be stopped!!
