If they would have burned the flag of the Republic of Kosova, then we wouldn't care. In fact Kosova ALbanians wouldn't care either ;)

LOL.... Which is why they burnt the Albanian one.

Serbia's Ambassador in Tirana Miroljub Zarić was quoted as saying that he unofficially learned that some of the participants in the protest were detained, and also that there had been no official condemnation of the incident from Albanian authorities.
..............
What about you ambasador, did you condemn the burning of our flag by your people, how ironic....

if if was not so sad, I´d laugh about these albanian fools.

if some serbian stupids burn an albanian flag, than it comes as a totally natural thing that some albanian stupids have to do the same!

=)

jesus, I can´t believe they´re so stupid at all.

Ivan "The Terrible" risks 1 to 4 years of prison. His lawyer is negotiating with the judges a 2 years sentence and extradition.Just for your information he's still in the women's prison wile wating the verdict. This is a very rare case, if not a unic case that a "man" is incarcerated with the women. That's so weird.Ivan was a wolf before the "burning" spectacle, but now he's just a litle baby goat, scared and terrified. What goes around comes around.

Isn't it more constructive to do something else, like roast some marshmellows with some scouts, or put on a puppet show for someone's children, or take a nice walk at sunrise/sunset, or grow a moustache, or have a cold beer with your friends, or anything except burning flags? God, how pathetic.

Both the Serbian hooligans and their Albanian parrots.

Get a life, children.

To get back at albanians serbs should steal their land, burn their mosques and harass their people.
After all, what you do to me I should do to you.
(Mikael C, 14 October 2010 21:58)

Great, and then Albanians can murder about 10,000 of Serbs and rape a few thousand women and expel about 1 million.

Just to "get back at you"

Tirana

pre 15 godina

Kosova Albanians, are ALBANIANS living in Kosova. You serbs should understand that. It's just like Republika Srpska Serbs are still SERBS, even though they live outside official Serb borders. K_Albanians were discriminated back then because they were Albanian, now you attack them by burning the Albanian flag. What do you expect? We here in Tirana are supposed to just turn the other cheek? If they would have burned the flag of the Republic of Kosova, then we wouldn't care. In fact Kosova ALbanians wouldn't care either ;)

Nice comment Davide, but unfortunately the EU with its multi-tiered system, and the US with its arrogant attitude towards other nations, actually help to feed the belief that certain nationalities are better than others.

Ironically, the very nations who claim to be so morally right are the ones fuelling nationalism with their attitudes and international adventures.

Hei guys! Don't you realize that we (Serbians, Albanians, Italians etc..) are much more similar than different? Don't you see that there is much more difference from a stupid person to an intelligent one, than to an Albanian to a Serbian? Shouldn't we stop with the cliches and the stereotypes? We are giving too much space to these piromanic-idiots. The more we talk about this, the more they are happy. Being born in Serbia or in Albania or anywhere else, is just a matter of case. There is no vitue or merit in it! Nationalism make people myopic. I know that this is an obvious statement but sometimes it is good to remember it. Peace and Love to all of you!

To winston and quasistate: you are internationals who cannot get a mediocre job in the administration of your own countries but have the arrogance and ignorance to go and patronise those you can! Who are you to tell me if I should have a "K and an underline" in front of my nationality?! Or you think its cool to use it, like you know better?! You have sad lifes, work in Prishtina for 5, 6 or even 10 years, come and go and buy your assistant a cheap perfume at Duty Free! Cannot get anything better wherever you come from? I am sorry for you!

Just to inform you guys, Ivan The Terrible was transfered to the women's prison in order to avoid any possible (probable)attempt to his live by albanians.( as you know there are unfortunatly around 2500 albanians in italian jails).Anyway, the "tough" Ivan Bogdanov is not that tough after all.He said that he was drunk and the anger was against his team.Well, he must have mistaken the albanian flag with the serbian one.

Today is the first day I visit the site of B92. Both Serbs and Albanians have been bombarded by bad news that makes one against the other. Is fortunate to have an invention like the Internet and media such as B92, which allows comments. Today I felt good after reading the comments from pro-Serbs and pro-Albanians, most moderate and logical, away from the extremism that separated us for hundreds of years. The other thing that touched me is the mechanism of thinking, which is similar, but don't forget, even the crazy things we do are similar. Today I can say that I can communicate better with a Serb, rather than an Italian, German or English.
I should say that I am an Albanian, but in this comment I will say that I am from Balkans.

Jason

Sorry to burst all your bubbles, can't much agree with anyone here, Serb or Albanian, flag-burners or anti-burning pontificators.

Flags are pieces of material with pretty (sometimes) designs on them, under which people are sent, by their rulers, to kill others or be killed.

The burning of a few cotton rags on both occasions are surely the least problematic of the dramatic events the last few days.
(DimTuc, 14 October 2010 18:35)

I have to agree. By becoming enraged over the burning of a flag, people empower those doing the act itself. As distasteful as it may be to you, do not play into it. Ignore it. It is simply a piece of cloth, as you say, and not worth all this time and energy fighting about it. If no one got upset then the act itself loses its meaning and power.

Zoti

How long before this story is the top story on B92? It's managed to push off all of the hooligans stories of the most commented stories.

I'm glad in a way that we're back to the "Bad Albanians" again, it just wouldn't feel right if some other story took the spotlight.

What is this obsession with the fire anyway? Why suddenly this epidemic pyromania?
It is so pathetic; first those crack heads in Genoa and now those stupid kids of my hometown burning flags. And now what? Who won? Don’t people have more important things to do? The truth is that I was expecting the Serbian officials to apologize to Albania the same way they did to Italy. It looks like they saying; “it is not good what we did to Italy” but “it’s OK to burn Albanian flags”??? I mean, what do you guys think, am I wrong? Anyway, it looks like the reconciliation between Serbian and Albanian people still a utopia. It won’t be like this forever, so why not start now for the sake of future generations? I used to live next to the Yugoslavian embassy before the 1990.Almost every day I would sit there under a tree and wait to see a beautiful Yugoslavian girl pass by. I don’t know if she worked there or was only someone’s wife, but she was nice and would smile every time that I say something to her. I used to say words like: Kako ti si lepa! O srce moje, ludo srce.It was dangerous to do that because there were Enver Hoxha’s security people everywhere. But I didn’t care. We are people and we are the same everywhere. That’s my point. I liked that girl and it did not matter if she was Serbian, Montenegrin or God knows what. This is the kind of things I like to remember and not the morons, half illiterate bums burning flags. Peace and Love.Paqe-Mir

The protest was held bacause the albanians were upset that their gonverment didn't protest to serbian gonverment, after the humiliation of our flag.So people reacted by calling "Berisha is a serbian lapdog" and burn the serbian flag.Anyway this demonstration was small one ,only 200 people.
But the solidarity among albanians was high.
In my home town were 90% of population is orthodox, people were waving albanian flag everywhere, recalling our heroes who fought against turks and greeks for Albanian independence. On Sunday the football fans will wave albanian flag instead the local team flag.
All albanians in Facebook put albanian flag in their profile.

not even Albanians which leave and immigrate form this dictatorship.

The best time to take this enemy of the state out was in thr 97 anarchy, he needs to go out, and install the Zog monarchy for god sake and join EU.

And now, Mirel, Serbs, Greeks, Macedonians, Montenegrens, and maybe even some Turks, will have to boldly fight against the Albanian oppressors, and fight for their independence. It all depends on what side of the fence you are on, isn't it? As for the flag burning in Genoa, it was done by thugs trying to create trouble and a response, thanks to this small group of Albanians with a match, the hooligans succeded.

BTW, I think the burning of the Albanian flag was aimed more at Kosovo Albanians, not at Tirana, because the K_Albanians use someone else's flag, and not their own. Why does Tirana allow that?

This really typifies the Serbian double-standards in their pathetic and 'constructive' policies towards the region. The Serbian government hasn't even bothered to comment about the disgraceful burning of the Albanian flag in Genoa and the Serbian ambassador now expects Albania to condemn the Albanian youths who are simply making a patriotic gesture and reacting to that evil provocation by Serbian thugs in Italy. I am convinced that the Serbian ambassador belongs to that same group of thugs too!

How long before this story is the top story on B92? It's managed to push off all of the hooligans stories of the most commented stories.

I'm glad in a way that we're back to the "Bad Albanians" again, it just wouldn't feel right if some other story took the spotlight.

Peace and Love to all of you!

if if was not so sad, I´d laugh about these albanian fools.

if some serbian stupids burn an albanian flag, than it comes as a totally natural thing that some albanian stupids have to do the same!

=)

jesus, I can´t believe they´re so stupid at all.

This is stupid. Apparently in the Balkans the stupid and ignorant continue to be the proudest and most nationalistic. This shouldn't have happened. A very idiotic move.
