Protocol signed for joint railway company

Representatives of the railways of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia signed a protocol on the harmonization of the founding act of joint railway company Cargo 10.

This is very good news for all involved, though I note that the Croats have rejected joining their airfleet with those of recently to be joined Serbia and Montenegro. This is unfortunate (particularly for the Croats) as long as the Balkans remains fragmented, it can be picked off by larger players who take home all the profits.

The good news is that major american investment of millions into Belgrade's 'Nikola Tesla' airport is part of the goal to make it the balkans air traffic hub.
