All those who consider Kosovo a special case please hop on the special bus.

Add Spain and Cyprus to that list. The other day Spain stated that Catalonia and Kosova are different. We can gather that means Kosova is a special case.
Cyprus also mentioned that the ICJ's decision stated that Cyprus and Kosova are different. Meaning again Kosova is a special case.
Azerbaijan stated the same thing.

So now those that until last week claimed Kosova was not sui-generis, the day after the ICJ's decision jumped on that special bus and are claiming that Kosova indeed is sui-generis. Foolish politics. Why on earth would you want to equalize Kosova with your own state before the ICJ and then claim the opposite once the ICJ made their verdict public. Now all of a sudden Catalonia, Nagorno-karabak and Northen Cyprus are not the same as Kosova even though you claimed that they were indeed the same up to a week ago; since you openly refuted the sui-generis approach. Now after the ICJ you suddenly jump boat and cling to the sui-generis approach. That is foolish politics. Look at Turkey, look at Bulgaria. Both of them have sizable minorities yet from the very beginning they maintained that Kosova and their minorities were different hence sui-generis approach was espoused. That way they put any doubts at rest. These other place foolishly did the opposite. They said Kosova is not a special case hence in the meantime their minorities found out that their state willingly equalized their situation with Kosova. Now the very same countries are rushing to negate that and jumping ship to the sui-generis approach. Stupid move from this governments.

It's interesting that certain political actors are playing the "Kosovo is not a special case" card while elements in Nagorno Karabakh and RS are contemplating their own UDIs. At this stage of the game, if Kosovo stays on the map, others cannot be denied from joining.

Why these countries who recognized the UDI insisting a dialogue between Serbia and its renegade province of Kosovo? And using the ICJ decision as a basis… sorry folks! No such talk needed until the STATUS is resolved with a solution acceptable by both sides.

Mladenov, please, just shut up. We have heard this tired old line about "Special Case" for the puppet-masters for years now. We don't need to hear the same tune from the puppets. Either get a new and more pragmatic line, or please "Shut Up". America has you in its pocket, Mr. Bugar FM, so what you saay means nothing.
