Anything EULEX fails at is a reflection of the general population... in this case, 90-something percent Kosovo Albanians.

That is really something to be proud of.

Which still does not mean they do not deserve the freedom

-- Aye, it's Thaci's Ace in the Hole whenever something doesn't go right. It's quite the chuckle how little more than 100,000 Serbs are always the stumbling block to the well being of 1.2 million Albanians. I would never have imagined the so-called Serb Assembly of Kosovo wielded such power.

b92,
I have written two coments already, but to no avail.
I am dismayed at your editor for not posting something that is prime time news, and Brussels and Romanian govermant is fully aware. I am talking about Romanian nationals working for EULEX have been cought right handed smuggling cigarettes and alcohol. What is so offensive, if I writte the truth? I bet you by tomorrow this will be news all over EU.
Thanx, FOR POSTING THIS ONE AT LEAST.

Jason I see you ignored my questions and changed subject, no suprise really, how can you answer on things you have no clue what so ever. Corruption exist in all of Balkans, Kosovo just happent to have most supervisors unlike her neighbors. Im glad people are doing fine in north, they too are citizens of Kosovo, but what I cant stand are these criminals and war criminals moving freely and have made the place to a cartel heaven. Im affraid even Belgrade officials arent safe in that part of Kosovo, we do remember what happend to Bodganovic in Leposavic.

Oh and how can I be a puppet for Prishtina when Im an Albanian, its like saying to Jovan you are a puppet to Belgrade, because well yeah, you dont exactly agree with me. Seriously, you can do better next time you want to insult me.
(Pejoni, 21 April 2010, 18:06)

Yawn.

Time for some new talking points my friend.

Pejoni, you are a puppet of Pristina. They say jump and you ask how high. You play right into their trap and take the bait by crying about the north when it has NOTHING to do with you or 95% of Albanians in Kosovo.

You worry about your human trafficking in Prizren, homicides in Pec, and general corruption in Pristina. North of the Ibar is none of your business and the Serbs there are doing just fine:)

When you have ANYTHING to show as an improvement in "Kosova" then maybe, just maybe you can mention the north...

If EULEX fails in Kosovo, that means that everything that Milosevic told the world community about the illegal Albanians' disrespect for all laws other than their ancient clan laws in Kosovo-- that he was 100% right-on-the-spot. Now, you can blame EULEX for K/As not being able to relate to anyone or anything not Albanian. That should open the EU doors real wide for all the Albanians that want to join, work, travel, and live in the EU.

WRONG! When failed blame the population, when its success its the work of EULEX! Where is rule of law in north, why isnt anyone checking the goods coming in from Serbia, many of whom are outdated products, why is there no arrest in northern Kosovo for suspected war criminals and even Albanian criminals, yet they rather spend their time in a cofé or chasing Kurti as if they are doing something useful. Today, Romanian EULEX workers got cought smuggling alcohol and cigarettes in the Macedonian border, God knows how many illegal business is done with the help of EULEX workers or they turning a blind eye. I mean, why would they care, its not their country, not their people, why not piss on everything that connects them. Stop blaming the population for their own failed missions, and no I wont call yours since your are not a member of EULEX.

UNMIK should make clear to all sides that it is the UN who can make in change in Kosovo status. No one else!

EULEX is doing good work in Kosovo. But they also should make clear that it is the UN who is in control!

Mike

The EU High Representative in Bosnia also likes to say he/she operates in a technical capacity too.

But when one examines a number of inititatives spearheaded by EULEX which work with Belgrade while bypassing Pristina, one is hard-pressed to think there's no politics in the technicalities.
