Google as well as several other transnational structures hardly lost a lot during the crisis. But what about Chinese leadership, for whom their own country and people make up the main asset, providing a decent place in the world? Maybe the Google leadership has the grounds to believe that the time when Chinese authorities may sacrifice part of their informational sovereignty has come?

How can any of us be sure, no matter which country we live in, that what we are accessing is all there is?

Unless we trave to other countries and test google, yahoo or whatever, we are not going to know how much we have no access to.

I have had links sent to me from the US which I cannot open because that is not available to "my region".

We will never know how much we don't know.

Our government in Australia are making noises about censoring the internet. You know, for our own good. Why laugh at China when it's obviously done all over the world. At least China is being honest about it.
