Actually according to the 2001 Slovakian census only 9.5% of its population is Hungarian.

Are you kidding me?! Slovakia and Cyprus are real countries, unlike the back whole of Kosovo which takes in billions in aid and gives nothing back but drug dealing and human trafficking. What a ridiculous comment from one of the residents of this false state.

Thank you but we dont need advice from you about how Eu should work. Seems albos think so much of them selves now that they consider that they are in a position to dictate Eu voting system. Its also wishful thinking on behalf of albs that EU is so concerned about Kosovo to force members andserbia to recognize.

EA,

Why if the majority of voters in US votes for person A, person B becomes president?

Well, that's because of the SYSTEM they are using. In EU we use a system where every state has to agree to welcome a new member. Well, not all agree so no Kosovo in EU.

What is unfair about that?

By the way, I do not like the US system for elections!

svojgazda

I think I will believe more in what EU's FMs say, as opposed to the Albanian diplomats on this site. Reality check, please, the world, or even the EU, is not all about Kosovo. Serbia is trying to have constructive cooperation with all its neighbors - what are the K_Albanians doing in that regard? Oh yes, they are demanding encyclopedias be changed to suite their false image.

"Because those EU, US, Japan , Canada, Australia and other powerful countries are the biggest contributors to the UN and all other international organisations, therefore while it might not be morally right, it makes much more sense that their will is imposed."

No logic in this arguement
whatsoever. Anyone who listened to Obama's speech at the UN knows that the
USA is in no position to unilaterally solve the worlds problems. In fact, Obama explicitly acknowledged this fact when he invited countries who were critical of US unilateral action in the past to take a greater role
in UN operations. Obama has
essentially admitted that the US can't do it alone -
and he asked for help.

Where then is the logic that that USA should impose their own self-serving views on other nations whose help they not only desperately need, but have in fact explicitly requested?

However, he noted that the Serbian government "should be aware" that in the later phases of association, they will be asked to have good cooperation "with all neighbors in the region".

Have you ever wondered why these countries are more powerfull than others? Because they exploit poor countries and try to dominate and tell them what to do.
I hope you are not saying that if I am stronger and more powerfull than you then you should do everything I say and agree to everything I do? If I have more money than you, should my voice count more then yours?

"Now MikeC, before you come back with your tirade as a defender of international law and humankind moral values, how would you react if lets say all EU countries
supported the acceptance of Serbia in EU, and then this was vetoed by Croatia?! (This is assuming that Croatia joins the EU which it will, and assuming that your
support Serbia joining EU, which you probably don't).
nikshala

Yes, you are right that I don't support a EU membership for Serbia. One reason is the one you just mentioned. One country can, for no reason really, blackmail another not to block.
Besides, Europe doesn't speak with one voice. I don't know where they stand on any issue. Kosovo is one example and Turkey another. Some say Kosovo is independent, some say its not. Some say Turkey should join, some say it shouldn't. There are benifits, of course,
but I think in Serbias case it would be a bad idea to join. One or more countries will eventually force Serbia to recognize Kosovo or block Serbias entry. Serbs and Albanians have different views of the status of Kosovo but if Serbia wants to joing it will do so by humiliation.
I strongly believe that two sides need to come to an agreement for a long lasting solution to work and be successful. Forcing one side to give in for some pocket change is to me a great humiliation.
