PM: Serbia needs modernization

A multi-billion Euro infrastructure program in all areas is needed in Serbia...everything from new roads to hospital renovating...and more...

Perhaps this should have been the thought running through everyone's heads, especially the policians, in the Former Yugoslavia before the disaster of 1991. My fear for the entire region, especially for Serbia is that they will be fall far behind the countries of Europe. Serbia has a lot to offer, young, educated, talented people who need the opportunity now so that they can put the last 18 years behind them and make it a distant memory.

How can serbia ever progress when so many of it's citizens wish to model the Russian experiment. Serbia is Russia they chant.

Why EU when Serbs look up to Russia and other enemies of the west?

Read before you post. There is a difference between EURO - as in the currency, and EU - as in the political, social and economic union - that your not part of as well.

The enemy of the West is Islamist global terrorists like Osama Bin Laden - his great "success" was in helping the KLA which is responsible for one of the greatest ethnic cleansing campaign since World War II.

Those regions that sponsor global terror are also enemies of the West.

Russia is the West - its a European country that has offered lots to the world.

Serbia can trade with everyone and is well-placed to also trade with Russia, India, China and Brazil (the BRIC) countries which will be bigger than the G7 in a few years.
