Rusia should be more worried about the "regional and international stability" of their sphere of interests. This very unprofessional ambassador in a breath mixed the rusian economic interests in Serbia with the serbian hegemonic interests in the Region. That mean as long as serbia will sell off his company's Rusia is going to support Serbias standpoints.
(louise, 12 June 2009 14:44)

Luise, now we have you deciding who is professional and who is not. What exactly qualifies you to make such a decision?

As long as Russia has an interest in Serbia they will back Serbia is what you claim. Take a look at the US. Any particular reason they are backing you or is it purely for exploitation?

You must also believe in fairy tales if you belive that US is not there soley for their OWN purposesa and NOT yours. At least Russian people have a genuine love for the Serbs. Can you say the same for the Americans?

If I were you, I would stop writing such rubbish. It really shows how childish you really are.

“The situation there poses a threat to regional and international stability, and this is why we continue to cooperate very closely with Serbia so as to help resolve the difficult situation in a peaceful manner,“
Really mister ambassador ?! Where was Russia when Milosevic killed 10000 Kosovars, women , children and old among them.
Russia has no saying or any moral rights , in regards to Kosovo. We know very well that serbs are your brothers and you would back them no matter what. International or no international law. Here is the comment to prove that :” Russia’s stand is rather simple—we are ready to back whatever position Serbia takes,“ Konuzin underlined.
So Russia, take that ‘international law” that you are blabbering about and shove it. When a government kills women and children they lose any rights, being those international. That’s the case that almost all western democracies have applied in regards to Serbia’s claim over Kosovo.
Does anyone here really believe that there would be a slight chance that Albanians would want to live under Serbian rule??!!!
Also some other people here that can’t wait for the US to go bankrupt. What the hell is wrong with you people??!!. Are you that naive to think that Russia will surpass USA and be number 1 in case USA goes bankrupt??!!
Econ 101 will help you people not write such “innocent” comments . I suggest you study it

ALBA: You commented on one specific part of my post, but choose to ignore the rest. It's typical, that someone offers an olive branch and you choose to ignore it. Now, I'm not the ultimate decision maker on this disaster that affects both communities, but it starts somewhere with ordinary people. Obviously, you ain't the one.

And who is going to let Russian troops to pass so they can go to Kosova to have a shootout with NATO and the Albanians? Will it be Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece, Crna Gora or Albania?

(Alb, 12 June 2009 18:54)

Whoever is the most convenient. The "shootout" is a phantasy. The Russian contingent is in line with 1244 and no "shootout".

NATO wants to leave Kosova so Serbia must recognize before EU

Now, if Kosovo wants to seperate from Serbia LEGALLY, there needs to be a discussion between the two parties based on mutual understanding and respect. It is within reach for both communities to live in peace if we can overcome our mutual distrust. Have we not depleted our reserves of hate yet? Let's give our children a chance to live in peace without the obvious threats in todays Kosovo.

Perhaps in time, we can be steadfast allies, rather than hell bent adversaries.

That's good - but let the deeds speak. Send Russian troops to Kosovo to replace the departing NATO troops.

Serbia should stand up for international law and diffend their georgian orthodox brothers of abkhazia and s.osetia. The teeritorial integrity of Georgia is sacred. It is hypocrisy to accept help from russia who is breaking international law itself.

Dragan,

I picked on your statement as you sound a "real" Serb.

"Achieve all our goals". Tell us more about your goals. "International law?")))

I am not jelous for you having a Russian brother but please stop telling us stories if I can put it diplomatically about international law...))) That is all I am asking for from the Serbian panel))

Thank you Ambassador Konuzin, once again, for your full support. We will never forget.
We will always be close with Russia, and as the American empire is bankrupt and crumbling before our eyes, Russia will help us achieve all our goals in the years ahead.
Cheers!!

But Konuzin, if Russia wants to be a responsible player in international politics, it should take into account the views of all sides, not just the Serbian one. Otherwise it only is showing itself to a be petty local player that puts self-interest above the universal values. Of course we knew that, and Konuzin is reinforcing it for every one to see.

Guys! How many times have I said here that is not about international law but about Serbia's interest?

Thank you Russia! Interesting that its the Russians who are standing up for international law while some of the major "domocracies" are the ones breaking it.
This just proves that it's not enough to say you are a democracy, you have to live by it. America has troops stationed all over the world. It wants to continue its domination over other peoples. This has to stop! Americans say people need to be free while they themselves are trying to oppress the entire world.
