He is more like an ambassador for camp bondsteel. Who gave america the right to build this monster base on Serbian Holy land? Oh yes I almost forgot this whole world belongs to them.

Im sure he is there to advise the albans on what to do. They know full well that until they change the UN res 1244 they will be a province of Serbia. That however, will never happen.

In the US, these political appointments are what we call "no show jobs". Salaries for unnecessary positions.........

No doubt he will be barking orders and the coolies will fall into line.

The similarities between Kabul and Pristina couldnt be more apparent. Both US installed puppet governments presided over by corrupt and unscrupulous warlords. Both the centre or transit route of organised crime and drug trafficiking. Both dirt poor, fast approaching failed state status, politically instable with no concept of the rule of law, rampant corruption, both are home to vast US bases - Bagram & Bondsteel.

Finally folks, the most ironic twist of all, Albanian troops will soon be dispatched to fight in Afghanistan and Pakistan to be used as cannon fodder in America's latest imperial adventure.

I'd wager a bet that Mr Dell will feel right at home in Pristina. Its just like the good old days of the Raj. Tally ho!

This is a political appointment, but you miss the point. It is an appointment to what amounts to an unnecessary position. You have ambassadors to countries. Kosovo is not a country except in it's own mind.

So it is clear the USA sees Kosovo as a crises area, things not going to plan, no suprise there then, only 60 recognitions, poor relations between Albanians and everyone else, massive unemployment, No Serbian recognition.

Poor Chir Dell. He has his job cut out.

Motive - is it Kosovo or US baza? Or does US like to mingle with European policies! Obama not a good start. Had better hopes from you!

Seeing how this guy's experience is in crisis areas, the Americans obviously still see this as a crisis zone. Not a done deal as they want the world to think.

We are well aware of the various ethnic slurs in circulation in the Balkans, and block them from these pages every time.
