Belgrade enjoys two days of wine fair

The 5th Wine Salon in Belgrade saw presentations of several dozen wineries, many from Serbia, which is becoming an important location on the wine-making map.

After tasting many of the local Serbian wines on offer I have to agree that Serbia has taken large steps forward with the quality now produced. It was only a few years ago that I struggled to find anything I liked but now I am overwhelmed.

Since I've stopped drinking the Montenegro offerings I am very pleased that Serbia offers superior wines and at very reasonable prices.

The problem now is to find my favourite on the shelves as this particular one seems to be very popular.
