While several of you have written interesting comments regarding prostitution and comparing it to other countries; it still needs to be cleaned up and enforced. Plain and simple it is illegal and needs to stay that way in Serbia.

Prostitutes need protection from human traffickers like any other citizens.
I don't see how the number of prostitutes in Serbia is a story at all, especially when you have western countries whose prostitution is at a much highter level.
Hey, there are countries where you can do some window shopping before you buy. You know what I mean. Displayed in the windows like meat. Is anyone pointing a finger there?
Street prostitution is flourishing in America. Even the actors get a bit of action from them.
Serbia seems to have a long way to catch up to them.

Many are innocent victims of despicable scum of the earth. Governments with some morality should go after those leaches and scum of society show no mercy like they shown to their uncountless enslaved murdered victims! Stamp out this evil and the perpetrators of it!

Prostitution in Serbia or even Beograd is close to nothing. Go to Slovakia, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and prostitutes are on every corner. When I lived in Serbia from 2003 to 2005 I could count the number of prostitutes I saw (autoput) with one hand and thats through a 2 year period. Prostitutes were only visible on the main highway going through Beograd. When it comes to the city streets havent seen one prostitute at all. Theres only one strip club in all of Beograd and honestly it dosent even come close to the Strip bars in the U.S., Canada, Czech and Hungary. Prostitution is illegal in Serbia, but its very much legal in all other E.U. countries......why is that?
