Red Star hooligan sentenced to 10 years

Only 10 years for attempted murder?!!! Because it is sport related the sentence is lower ?

A murder in Hungary - if it is not pre-determinated and if it is of passion can be as low as 5 years. 10 years seem indeed to harsh for me - unless they will set the guy free earlier for good behavior. It is not the harshness of the sentence what is deterring - but the high probability to get caught and the shame + peer pressure.

10 years is OK only if there is possibility for earlier parole, IMO. Of course certain tough conditions have to be met for the parole. They were probably "just" drunk idiots, hooligans, etc. No need the guy leave the jail in 10 years as a fully ripe neo-nazi or wanna-be paramilitary.
