Wow, another historian joined the forum.
And to top it up; a linguist.

You see Nikitas, history is a very dangerous place to swim especially when your “version” of history is completely different from everybody elses.
Now Nikitas, please stop teaching us our history.

I like it when “historians” like yourself add nationalities as it pleases them (to “make a point”).
In your case, to hide your religious angle added Jews to your “thoughtful” analysis.
You should know better than that Nikitas.
As a “qualified historian” you should know that during WW2 the number of Jews increased in Albanian regions.
You see Nikitas, this is where the “self proclaimed historians” like yourself make mistakes.
They let their personal biasness cloud their judgment.

It's called open-mindedness! It shows a high level of maturity, it shows that we're beyond the stage of creating a nation-state.

Although we're the majority, we're trying to accommodate everyone else and make them feel at home.

Before you partisans start posting nonsense, note the choice of words I'm using - 'trying' - we haven't achieved it yet but there is a willingness (which is more than you can say about our neighbours!!!)

Why not call it Europe? We're part of it. We don't seem to suffer an identity crisis, we seem to know perfectly well exactly who we are and what are ethnic symbols are. Now we've got a state and there seems to be a tendency to build a nation - of all people who live in it - hence the national symbols. Not too shabby for a Disneyland-type, crime ridden, poor, uneducated, fundamentalist, puppet entity!

@blero

Actually it is Kossyfopedio, not even Kosovo, even more kosova. Even the name of the place has no meaning in any neighbouring country, it is just deriving from the Greek word I mentioned above. So save me the language lessons, go learn your own first.
And it is albanians and not Albanians if i want to say it so, and there is nothing you can do about it :)

As for the Greeks. You know, the last time the Greeks fought it was when they drove the Italians back at northern albania, you know, at that time when your fellow albanians open arms to welcome their conquerors (the fascist Italian troops) without firing even one bullet.
I call that full throttle reverse, if you know what I mean :)
Besides, it wasnt Greece that gave the name of her national hero to a nazi SS division during WW2. Remember who that was?
Let me help a bit:
"During World War II, the Axis powers dismembered and occupied Yugoslavia and created a greater Albania by annexing the Serbian region of Kosovo-Metohija by Nazi Germany, Germany formed a Shqiptar "Kosovar" Waffen SS Division, the 21st Waffen Gebirgs Division der SS "Skanderbeg" which engaged in a policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide against the Orthodox Serbian population of Kosovo. The result was that the Shqiptars, with the help of Germany, were able to virtually exterminate the Serbian and Jews populations of Kosovo, thereby creating an ethnically pure, Nazi German-sponsored Greater Albania or Greater Shqiperia."

Satisfied now?

OK Serbs, this anthem story is just a joke we are playing to keep calm the so-called "Greater Albania" nightmere hysteria of our western supporters. In this direction Serbia is giving a very big hand, just to say the last, blocking the Kosovo Eurochambres application.
So the Kosovars, whether they like it or not, will have to direct their eyes more and more towards the Motherland, Albania. And of course, the Motherland will take care of its children, even of those who have been prodigal sons.

Thank You Serbia for the great help you're giving in the unification of the Albanian Nation.
