LADA WILL PREVAIL!!
(Zoran Paljevic, 29 April 2008 22:51)

Zoran (Nikola Tesla’s long lost nephew)

Of course Lada will prevail.
That is why everybody in the world is queuing to get one (right)!
I hope you have put your name in the list as it is a three years waiting for one.

And as far as Tesla: He is respected by everybody (and should) as he contributed to the good of the humanity.
Tesla-electric car, nice concept hopefully becomes reality.
I would not slag Edison as he also contributed a lot.

Mospyt,

We're lucky Albanian population on KosovO know's about bricks & cement,mainly..I'll be pleased to wach them rebuilding Serb monasteries, soon!! As you say "de facto" restored!! Bondsteel..,there's no usefull material,we'll use it for chicken farm..(Not Kentucky!)

I can't see why signing the SAA would mean recognition of Kosovo. It is mostly a trade agreement. Serbia needs it to stay integrated in its region. The SAA doesn't cover the territory of Kosovo, but any other treaty that Serbia would sign at the moment would face the same problem.

Ons should rather criticize that the SAA is an empty shell: nothing of the treaty will be implemented now in the near future; the signing is only meant to promote the DS in the elections.

Mospyt

Kostunica's argument for not wanting to sign the SAA is right on the money. Serbia's signature will mean a de facto recognition of KosovA.

However, it will be interesting to see what he does once the signing takes place, because he can't stop it and even when it's done he will quietly accept it.

Dear all,

Reluctantly I agree this time with Mr. Kostunica. His logic makes sense!

However, nobody in Serbia can actually find a solution rather than directly or indirctly recognising Kosovo.

The shadow of Kosovo will accompany Serbia in every step toward democratization and progress of Serbia...until Serbia recognises Kosovo and apologises to people of Kosovo...

It is almost obvious to everyone not only in democratic world but also in Serbia that Kosovo will enter the EU before Serbia...this means that before Serbia recognises Kosovo the latter will veto the entrance of the former in the EU bloc...

...or probably Eurupean continent will (remain) have only 2 states the EU and Serbia...

Good luck to people of Serbia who deserve better than these types of politicians that keep country back and in isolation...

Peace to all

Cheers!

The use of force against Serbs was never successful; we respond to friendship. This is our heritage, given to us by our ancestors.

(Vojislav Kostunica, Serbian Prime Minister)

Next month there are general elections in Serbia. The latest opinion surveys suggest 37 per cent of voters will support the nationalist and anti-EU Radical party. It's leader, Vojislav Seselj, is currently standing trial in The Hague.

32 per cent of the voter population will back Serbian president Boris Tadic's pro-western Democratic Party. This means that the balance of power will likely be held by Vojislav Kostunica, the outgoing prime minister, and leader of the nationalist DSS.

Interesting comments and some unfortunately resemble the rhetoric used by Miloshevic in 1981 in Kosovo, what a mistake that was!

Serbia is soon going to the polls and a new government will then be elected. A radical government will increase the regional tension bit will pose no threat to the newly recognized Country of Kosovo, this needs to be clearly understood by the electorate as they are being fed stories from all sides that Kosovo is and will remain in Serbia. Any logical person will realise that this is something that neither government can now change. (this needs to be understood regardless of what kosovo or serbia feel is just or fair), its now history and the current situation is here to stay. Now take away that from the political game and then assess what else do these parties offer, how will they serve the people and ensure a prosperous and dignified future for all. Its a big question and the 11th of May will most certainly decide much more than which party will govern Serbia, it will actually decide for how much longer the ordinary people have to suffer and pay for the mistakes of previous bad government!
The time is very near and the question is quite clear - Do you go forward or Do you back, its in the hands of the voting population.

If Kostunica is the quality benchmark............. well that is if somebody used Lada as a benchmark of car manufacturing and quality.

Bravo bravo Koštunica, you are a true Serbian leader. I'm surprise there isn't a legal way to block the signing.

It's quite obvious the DS are going to lose and need party funds for a long time to come. How better to get it than to sell your land? Shame, shame, shame on the DS.

Keep fighting Koštunica. Serbia and the world is on your side!

but let´s leave it at that, what you didn´t learn in school... you know.

Mr. Koštunica seems to be one rare politician with principles... show me ONE SINGLE albanian politician of his qualities! and... I mean politicians, not ex-bouncers or chicken-thieve-leaders with animal nick-names... ;)

it's absolutely true! most of the necessary vital and economical solutions for the citizens of Serbia were "not done" under "leadership" of Mr. Kostunica. even the UDI was the mere result of "not doing" the necessary things to avoid it. and now it's better to avoid about economical future of Serbia - and for to discuss something which will not happen before 16th of June. well "not done" !!
