My heart goes out to all victims of genocide, whatever their ethnicity, color or political/religious affiliation. my mother's extended (jewish) family lost nearly 100 members to the Nazi genocide in poland. it is something that never goes away, no matter how many years later -- it informs and alters your perceptions in so many unexpected ways.

i never would have chosen to be born into such a family; but having that as my background, i have tried to make the best of it. i also lost a would-be uncle, with disabilities, whom i would very much like to have known...

16 deaths? not to sound disrespectful but thats nothing and hardly accounts to genocide...

Like wise Serbs will never forgive or forget for the thousands of murdered Serbs throughout decades of ethnic cleansing by Albanians in Kosovo.
