What a waste of life! 4000 young man dead, 30,000 of them crippled and 100,000 Iraqis perished for what? I have to say the removal of Saddam was a welcome change for most Iraqis, but what did our country get? I never supported this war, and I believe this will turn out to be the biggest blunder this country has ever committed. Hope Obama wins and gets us out of this idiotic war. This administration has seriously damaged the backbone of the American economy with this Iraq adventure.

So, why would I care for death toll amongst occupying soldiers? Their masters should worry about the soldiers’ death toll. I am interested in death toll of innocent civilians who were killed just for being Iraqis, Afghans, as Serbs were killed just for being Serbs who happen to live in geo-strategic position. I know that the death toll of civilians only in Iraq is over million so far.

May their Iraqis and Afghan souls rest in peace

The key issue here is how many CIVILIANS have been killed in Iraq since the beggining of yet another occupation by the US?

The US never bothered to have a civilian death count. It was a concious policy by the Bush-Cheney mandra to conseal the civilian carnage in Iraq. The only credible information we have is that published by the US magazine LANCER which put the number of deaths of Iraqui civilians in excess of
one million and the number of
displacement to four million
people.
