systematically organized and financed Serbian government ethnic cleansing operations.

So I guess the 200,000 plus Serbs that have left Kosovo decided to go for a stroll and never came back. Your right there was a plan to ethinically clean Kosovo, but you just mixed up the names.

Thanks

Cheers

No, Goran - you can't equate war crimes committed on both size. Though human lives are sacred no matter quantity, war crimes by Serbs were systematic, organized, financed and led by what in principle were supposed to be democratically elected government institutions. The 'other' side had no state of its own, had a quasi-army of rebels who had taken up arms to defend themselves by 'anti-terror' police and paramilitaries. Don't forget, a lot of KLA men were locally recruited, fighting in their own villages. E.g. there was always little Serbian community in Drenica, so basically in that sort of a region people are naturally inclined to defend if 'anti-terror' police come to 'protect state interests.'

Of course, in a war crimes are commited on both sides. But the argument that the equation of them can be so easily established is far from clear. Kosovo Albanians never had a state of their own to finance a systematic campagin and though crimes were most definitely carried out by individual KLA men and revenge-seeking Albanians, that reaction can hardly be analogous to the systematically organized and financed Serbian government ethnic cleansing operations.

This speaks volumes. This just shows how honest the victims are. They werent in that court room to get revenge, as you noticed they didnt identify the man because they werent sure. In most cases, victims rarely choose to be completely honest and only seek justice. This dosent mean that he is innocent or guitly, maybe just lucky. War crimes were commited on boths sides, but I respect her honesty. We shouldn't point fingers unless we are sure.

TO KS -

It's difficult for anyone to identify a criminal - particularly when they

*wear ski masks
*there's no light except the burning flames from a church
*threats are made on their testifying against these criminals.

Give us all a break, please!!

"They didn’t assault a single woman, and I don’t recognize him,” said the witness, adding that neither had she seen the houses or churches being set fire to.
