“I'm not defending the war crime that undoubtedly happened in Srebrenica, but I don't believe for a minute that it was "genocide" or that it happened on the scale alleged by the Muslims.”

ALLEGED BY THE MUSLIMS? Practically ALL CONSIDERABLE and TRUSTABLE SOURCES, JOURNALISTS AND SCHOLARS considered what happened in Srebrenica not a battle, not a military payback troop-against-troop, but a MASSACRE of CIVIL people in a GENOCIDAL campaign made by Milosevic, Mladic, Karadzic and Arkan against BOSNIAN PEOPLE in general and Bosnian Muslims in particular:

Even the UNITED NATIONS’ ICTY cites the world “genocide” in their indictment against Ratko Mladic: http://www.un.org/icty/indictment/english/mla-ai021010e.htm

The Massacre of around 8300 men and boys in Srebrenica REALLY HAPPENED, and there are lots of CONCRETE PROOFS and EYEWITNESS and to confirm that. To deny the gravity of the Srebrenica Massacre — the worst massacre of people in Europe since the World War II — is something similar to deny the Holocaust and/or put the blame on the Jewish people. Just some fanatic orthodox true-believers do not want to see this truth (there is even Serbian people like Matasa Kandic that ackowledge what Milosevic’s Serbia has done in Yugoslav Wars).

Bad Gorilla,

The dispute isn't that these people died -- it has to do with how they died and why. Nobody disputes the facts, the dispute only has to do with what the facts tell us.

Nobody denies that there were executions. In 1996 Milosevic's police arrested Drazen Erdemovic in Novi Sad and charged him with the execution of 1,200 Muslims from Srebrenica.

The forensic experts have found enough blindfolds and ligatures for about 400 people.

Even Mladic is on record admiting that there were some executions.

The question is how many people died because they were deliberately executed and how many people died in battle when that 15,000 man convoy of Srebrenica-Muslim men broke through the Serbian lines towards Tuzla.

The Muslims would have you believe that nobody died in battle -- and that's just hard to believe. Even the Hague judgement against Kristic says that an unspecified number of the 2,000 or so bodies that had been found in the graves died in combat.

The other question is whether the executions constitute genocide. Were the executions an attempt to exterminate the Muslim ethnic group or were they revenge for the massacres that the Srebrenica-Muslims perpetrated against the Serbs in 1992-93?

You can see in the Skorpions video that you make reference to that revenge was motivating those particular killings, not genocidal intent. When one of the Muslims asked the Skorpions to "wait" he was told "when you were killing Serbs you didn't wait".

I'm not defending the war crime that undoubtedly happened in Srebrenica, but I don't believe for a minute that it was "genocide" or that it happened on the scale alleged by the Muslims.

Sometimes is simply unbelievable that after all these years and all the evidence (see the forensic excavations of mass garves and DNA testings — and the video showing an Orthodox priest blessing the massacrers), people in Serbia still don’t believe that the Mladic-prepetrated Srebrenica Massacre really happened!

It’s in these moments that we star to comprehend why Milosevic apologizers and the Serbian Radical Party are still so popular in Serbia…

Ida is quite right. The Bosnian Serb Army was not strong enough to take Srebrenica. The enclave was abandoned by the Moslem army who had 20,000 heavily armed soldiers defending it while also using it as a base for attacks on nearby Serbian villages.

The order to abandon Srebrenica was given by the Moslem leadership in Sarajevo, who in turn took their orders from the Americans. Perhaps the Hague Show Trials will throw some light on what really went on in Srebrenica.

UN should have protected those poor citizens but they knew better. they gifted the civilians to the Serbs from the enclave because they knew what the RS army would do with them. UN used srebrenica solidify their propaganda against milosevic that Serbs are guilty of everything. However , they had a helping hand in rounding up these poor souls and handing them to the barbarians. ALL UN and western officials should be in the Hague.

But he wasn't even there during the "fall":

"The British general was on a leave of absence when Srebrenica fell and during the aftermath of the fall."

All he was doing was being in meetings.

Besides this, the Bosnian Muslim army command had ordered its men off their defensive positions all around Srebrenica the day before it "fell". They all were told to gather in the north and then they walked out in shifts before Mladic and Karadzic even arrived in the city.

Bravo general, "other people are taking care of that."
Those people are the ones to blame for the two charged people still being on the run. Please put names on those "Other people". Let them be known by everybody.
