«they were murderous soldiers who went to hide in the hospital. It was proven their names were not on the hospital registry or admissions lists».

Ida,

They were soldiers who fought the enemy. That's all. And at the moment they were made prisoners, they were under the protection of the Geneva Convention. Do you agree?

As I said before, Victor, they were murderous soldiers who went to hide in the hospital. It was proven their names were not on the hospital registry or admissions lists. There are photos on the net of dead Vukovar Serb civilians in the days before the fall. That was done by the Croat "patients".

The Albanian murderers like Haradinaj, who raped Roma girls, tortured and killed other Albanians and Serbs gets to go home for funerals of relatives, so the Hague is clearly for of double standards, as are you.

Victor says,
"It is possible that his mother and his immediate family did not want him to be there. Personally, I would not permit my son if he was indicted for war crimes around when I die."

Here you go again Victor. You certainly reinforce by belief that you either have short-term memory loss or your comments are hypocritical at best.

Again I repeat your previous posts..."Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned.
(Victor, 5. October 2007)

When commenting on Haradinaj’s guilt you stated…” Are you sure of this? This is a serious accusation. Have you seen him killing people? Until he is proven guilty, he is innocent.” Victor, 3. October 2007

What amazes me is that you do not seem to be embarrassed by your own gibberish.

«... it is perfectly feasible for a person to be indicted and not actually be guilty. »

It is possible, but not in Seselj's case. The ICTY has all the proofs that he formed a paramilitary unit, similar to Arkan's Tigers, and he was in Vukovar the morning the Croats surrendered after months of fighting. I am quite sure that the prosecutor will prove that Seselj's paramilitaries were involved in the massacre of the 300 patients from the hospital.

WE WILL SEE.

"Personally, I would not permit my son if he was indicted for war crimes around when I die."

This comment which you have written completly undermines your presence on this site and shows that actually you have nothing to contribute since it is perfectly feasable for a person to be indicted and not actually be guilty.

However somehow you have manged to completely ignore this possibility not only in Seseljas case but also in your own hypothetical one.
Should you leave any more comments? I think not.

Seselj has only himself to thank for the long delays in his trial. He went to The Hague with the announced intention of "destroying" the UN tribunal and he has done all he can to disrupt the proceedings. His trial already started last year, but it had to be canceled after he went on a hunger strike. After the Tribunal judges gave in to all Seselj's demands, the trial is scheduled to start again next month. But if the Tribunal does not meet Seselj's new demand, that the UN give him 6 million dollars to pay his tzv. 'legal advisors' (such as Toma Grobar Nikolic?), it is quite possible that the trial will be postponed again. Or maybe he'll decide to go on another hunger strike, if RTS refuses to broadcast his courtroom performance live from The Hague. Expect that the Seselj Show (whether on RTS's program or not) will last for as long as the star performer himself wants it to last... and don't expect to see a hepiend. It's Seselj himself who should not be treated seriously.

As a parent, and I am one, we always give the best to our children, and unfortunately for him, Seselj disregarded completely the education he received, regarding the basic values of respect, tolerance, compassion, brotherhood and love.

«This court is simply a tool of US foreign policy and has absolutely nothing to do with truth and justice. It is a court that assumes all Serbs are evil and have no rights...»

What would you do with people like Mladic, Krstic, and so many officers who permitted the killing of 10s of thousands of civilians?

The UN had the right to institute a tribunal to judge all persons who participated in war crimes, just as they have done with Rwanda, and they will do with Darfour.

Finally, I will remind you that Bosniaks and Croats have also been arrested and put on trial for their crimes but, unfortunately for the Serbs, who were the aggressors in this war more Serbs were put under arrest than Croats or Bosniaks. And of all the Serbs sent to the Hague, most have been convicted, and this has nothing to do with their nationality, but with the crimes they have committed. Most of them after a few months have pleaded guilty to the crimes.

What you say is very nationalist, and I understand you, but you should not side with Serbs who have tarnished the image of your nation.

Srboslav,

Don't assume that this is a real court. This court is simply a tool of US foreign policy and has absolutely nothing to do with truth and justice. It is a court that assumes all Serbs are evil and have no rights, while all muslims, croats and albanians are victims. The reality is quite the opposite, but this court has nothing to do with reality. The Hague should not be treated seriously, nor should it be recognized, by anyone.

Srboslav

pre 18 godina

Strange, but how could anyone be in custody for four and a half years before the trial even begin???
Is that ineffective work at the Hague or what??

For Christs sake, if a person is indicted, the accusations should be clear when the idictments are made, if not the court can not claim they have proof of accusation people.

Its should not be like take the top serb leaders, indict them, and if they are brought to the HAgue vouluntarily or not THEN start the work in the pre trial case.

Kangaroo court at its best :-(

Almost as correct as the SAddam Hussein trial...
