The surge against insurrgency in Iraq has worked rather well! However, USA needs to keep its nerv; victory in Iraq is just around a corner!

Once USA wins the Iraq war, then they will be able to focus at least some attention to helping Serbs, who had to run for their life to Serbia from their ancestral homes in Croatia, Muslim-Croat Federation in ex-Bosnia and Kosovo.

It should read the Iraqi peoples revenge this war started on a false premise weapons of mass destruction, then on getting rid of a dictator, now its about democracy. Iraq is litterely split in to 3 areas Sunni, Kurd, Shia it is failed state because of the US decision to impose its own order/disorder on a population that had a decade of sanctions. The surge has achieved nothing but bloodshed..

"The reality - which everybody reading this column instinctively knows - is that Iraq is now so divided into a witches brew of competing ethnic groups and splinter groups within each of them (all subject to influence by powerful outside forces such as Iran, Turkey, Syria, and Saudi Arabia) that there is absolutely no way, short of an absolutely brutal dictatorship, to put it all together again." Considering the US has so many think tanks and bright university graduates. How do you explain that going back to the starting point, after dispruting lives of millions of people? Should we fear American intelligence?

Dario, I agree. I guess the most difficult part will be drawing borders as its unlikely it will be clear. And its hard to see all 3 agreeing, especially since the shiites and sunnis will not give an inch to kurds. Turkey will make sure of that. It could lead to more problems.
