I'll get some in a minute, I do believe my mom has a lot of pictures of Banja Luka on her website. The old Dungeon has been converted to a fancy restaurant, its pretty cool.
I hear the Castle in Novi Sad (where the EXIT festival is every year) has miles of tunnels under it. I've been to that Castle. Its really cool, the government pays for Artists to live and work in the Castle and you can watch them paint and stuff, its truly amazing. Novi Sad is my favorite town I think.
Either way Mike, send me an email, I'd like to talk more with you. My email is lazslow@hotmail.com
Anyone is welcome to write to me.

Matthew my friend, this may be one time we disagree on something, haha. Castles are super fun to walk through - I've had my share in Austria. But I'm a boring old preservationist. Have the Goth Club in the town. Leave the castle as a museum.
Any pictures or web links to the castle in Banja Luka?

I disagree with Mike, hee hee. I think its great that Transylvania is becoming a tourist attraction. Personally I’d love to turn that castle into some kind of crazy Goth Club or something, it’d be super fun. Transylvania is one of the regions I’d love to invest in.
135 million is way over priced though. You can get an awesome castle in France for a couple million. Yes, I do spend my time looking at Castles on the internet. The highlight of my wedding was getting married in the Castle in Banja Luka. 12 friends and family came from the US to be there, and they just loved it.

I hope to no end this castle doesn't become a cheesy Dracula-themed amusement park. I remember a few years ago there was big talk of such a God-awful tourist attraction planned for Sigisoara, Vlad Tepes' hometown. Thankfully the plan was axed and Romania's Transylvanian countryside can still enjoy its natural (and historically accurate) beauty.

What a shame to sell off national treasures, some things should not be for sale. The Romanian government should buy it and make it a national park.

I thought it was already sold last year. Apparently the asking price is too high.
I visited an other so-called Dracula castle back in the nineties. Dracula was never there, it was just for tourists but it was fun. I young cook dressed up as Dracula and hid in a coffin. At the right time he jumped out to scare the tourists.
