Bush less unilateralist? Let him show it by ending the boycot of Cuba! It was clear that the South Koreans would never allow him his next "glorious" war, so he had no choice there if he wanted results. As for Iran: the general impression world-wide is that we are now seeing the usual show to achieve consensus for war. Just as Rambouillet 1999 the diplomacy seems only meant to show that diplomacy doesn't work. I will start to believe that Bush is serious about Iran when he offers them to end all US sanctions.

The result of the new EU summit reminds me of all the Kosovo resolutions that have been written recently. The text changes but the content stays the same. A European superstate may be attractive for US diplomats and EU politicians who want a strong superpower, but for the ordinary citizen it means the end of democracy.

"-A specific agreement to NOT use the word "Constitution" in the process; to avoid the designation of any anthem or symbols of the EU, and to NOT use the term "Foreign Minister." This was done to address the fears of those who do not want a EU "super state.""

- on the contrary the whole reasoning for the such omissions were to ensure that no EU state puts the "treaty" [sic] to referenda - very democratic indeed!!!!
