This sounds too good to be true....Every Serb from the north to south should be happy right??

But who's gonna seriously implement it?? I mean, it's great for a society that has an above "Eigth Grade" average education, but i can't see the Albanian side paying attention to the second article regarding equality and human rights..(No offence, just realities).

Seems to me that this is a stronger version of the 1974 constitutional agreement..That being said, i'm sure the Serbs are still going to feel the pressure to leave, as they did for the last twenty years regardless of the "Good Feel" nature of this article...

It took Athisarri and his well paid team of technocrats to come up with this? Wow I must be reading the wrong site. Beyond being the least kept secret it now comes as no surprise but dissapointing to think of the wasted UN budget for this waste paper excercise!

8.3 Immovable and movable property of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia or the Republic of Serbia located within the territory of Kosovo at the time of this Settlement shall pass to Kosovo.

That's right princip what is in kosova stays in Kosova simple as that.

The best part is the 2 year period after which the assembly can essentially adopt a new constitution. This is far stringer than autonomy under Tito. This is an independent state in all but name. That is the core of it all to be recognized, to me that in it self is a huge step, i mean come on people, what are we fighting about, the people of Kosovo regardless of their back ground yesterday got recognized and recognition! Is that not in it self something to celebrate. You are now a human being recognized!!

it shows the level of the discussion if eveybody here is talking of the Albanians as eighth-graders... that´s certainly not appropriate.

fact is: they do not realize that they have nothing. someone is telling them they will have the right to ask for admittance at international organisations... did anybody tell them they might be rejected? they have the right to ask for anything, the question is whether they will get something real.

We read the status proposal ,is not what we fought for, but it is acceptable ,all what we have to do now is make it applicable in Presheve, Bujanovc,and Medvegje .

United States of America and United States of Albania they both share common interest in Balkan ,US army , together with Albanian army, last one in coalition with ,ACK, UCK,(KLA) UCMBP are determined to live free and start returning Albanians refugees from Turkey,whose property was taken away by force ,(estimate around 2 million Albanians).We will elaborate this subject some other time ,

I do not care about what is a position of governments of Macedonia, or Bulgaria which support UN plan, I also do not know what is official position of Polish government.

Governments are not representative to their nations. I'm pretty sure that majority of Slavic nations oppose to this plan.

In 1939 the Nazi Germany requested from Poland just corridor to Prussia not the whole province. Poland, Polish nation and Polish government refused and the WWII started. It is just history.

I can't believe that Ahtissari writes how Kosovo and Serbia are two separete entities and expects them to support it. This is total and complete independence giving Serbs nothing and Albanians everything.

In 1939 the Nazi Germany requested from Poland just corridor to Prussia not the whole province. Poland, Polish nation and Polish government refused and the WWII started. It is just history.

This comment supports the Nazi Germany's invasion of Poland that killed millions of Poles, especially the Jewish population.

If you knew your history, you would know that Hitler used this "so called" corridor to provocate the Poles . There was more propoganda saying that the German minority was being subjagated to Polish descrimination.

This was the case also with the German Minory in the Sudetenland, Chechoslovakia.

Are you implying that WWII would not have happened if Poland gave Germany that corridor ?

Kosovo is being split up the same way, intense propoganda on how the Serb minority has been descriminating against the Albanian Majority. If you look at the population figures the Serbs are virtually non existant in Kosovo anymore.
