While it is wise for Patriarchate Porfirije to speak only in terms of peace as all Orthodox clergy should do. The reality is that the Orthodox Church is split and Patriarchate Bartholomew in Istanbul is making political statements against the Russian invasion. This flies in the face of Patriarchate Kirill who is defending the Russian operation as righteous defense of the Russian people.
