Media: People also flee Russia, heading towards Belgrade; There are hundreds of them

In the weeks after the war in Ukraine broke out, not only Ukrainians fled, but Russians also fled their homes. Many of them arrived in Belgrade.

Stop using this stupid term ‘brotherly’. Ukrainians are Slavic ‘brothers’ too, so the term is an insulting one given the current circumstances. Also, the phrase ‘brotherhood and unity’ in the context of the Balkans links the word ‘brotherly’ more with treachery and betrayal rather than anything loving and reliable.

Still, it’s good that people running away from Russia are coming to Serbia, That means that Serbia is welcoming people who reject Putin’s nasty murderous politics and who disapprove of the mentality currently dragging Russia into shame. Hopefully these people will help marginalise further the few remaining extreme Serb nationalists by pointing out to them the realities of life.
