I don't think any sport should be politicised by any side, both the Australian and Serbian governments are at fault and should not got involved at all. Its beyond me why Vucic is making public statements about the events, UK politician Nigel Farage is also stirring the pot while staying in Belgrade.

However, this is not unique, one of the best Yugoslav National Teams were banned from World and Euro Cup events over politics and war. One of the best assembly of Serbian players were not allowed to compete during the 1990's.

Its amazing how stupid some people can be and your one of them.
All paper work was submitted to 2 medical boards. One in Europe contracted to the Australian government and the other in Melbourne Victoria. On these boards sit medical doctors. According to the criteria agreed upon by the Australian Government and Tennis Australia these boards cleared Djokovic’s entry and it was the Federal Government that granted the visa.
Just prior to Christmas the Australian Prime Minister said that there should be no issues for players who are not vaccinated as long as they test negative 24 hours before flying and same on arrival plus a two week quarantine and after testing negative again, they would be cleared to play. This was said on national television.
This is not an issue of the Australian Prime Minister visiting Belgrade because to date that’s never occurred, but it’s the image given on the international stage. So far Australia has become the laughing stock of its own region, South East Asia, not to mention the rest of the world.

Please stop with all the chest beating!! The rules were perfectly clear and Novak's team screwed up. He should not get special privileges just because he's a very good tennis player. He should be deported because he did NOT fulfill ALL of the requirements for entry in the era of COVID-19.

Somehow I doubt that the Australian Prime Minister will lose ANY sleep if he can't visit Belgrade.

This means a diplomatic war with Australia. Novak Djokovic is a legend and Saint for Serbia. We will not forget this diplomatic snub. Australia has many citizens of loyal Serbian ethnicity. In our favor is we have a fifth column in Australia. I will let Australia make of that what they wish. We will never forget the humiliation Nole has suffered at the hands of the Australian government!
