Why did Erdogan start the "battle for Kosovo" from Cyprus?

Turkish President Erdogan's statement that Turkey works on increasing the number of countries that recognize Kosovo's independence is essentially a repetition.

Erdogan is reading the play book from the Kla start of the Kosovo war 99 to the day they declared independence. He wants the Cypriot Turks to do the same as an excuse for intervention. He is hoping that lobbying with Biden to get more countries to recognise Kosovo, Biden will recognise a 2 state Cyprus.
Unfortunately the EU won't support one bit of it.
