Let me try and shed a tear😢. Disqualification well deserved. He forgot that he is not in Serbia where he throws his diva- tantrums.

Why wasn't that line judge watching the ball? That's her job isn't it? Looked like she was practicing her amateur dramatics here and staking her claim to one of next year's Oscars!!

The rules apply to all players, last year 13 players have received the same penalty. Why should it be different for the #1?

The rules of Tennis apply to everyone eh? Then why was Serina Williams not sanctioned after her tirade on court after she lost to the Japanese player by declaring the Umpire was a cheat? Why wasn't she disqualified or even banned from several tournaments? Imagine if Djokovic did that?
Yes we know its one rule for the US and another for players from non-democratic countries.

Awarding Carrena-Busta the first set, after Djokovic had apologised for this momentary lapse of concentration, frustration and accidentally sending the ball towards the linesperson, would have been ample punishment for what was really an inconsequential incident. This was a total over-reaction which has deprived the tournament of the best player there. Djokovic has subsequently apologised again and accepted this ridiculous punishment with his usual fair-mindedness and pragmatism. He's been harshly treated for something which a footballer would only have been yellow carded for at the most and probably would have only received a caution in the first instance. These draconian rules that leave no leeway for fairer interpretation should be examined as soon as possible and give the player's actions a fairer assessment by the referees.
