Armand....you are right about a couple of things. Firstly I agree about corruption in Kosovo. By the way that happens everywhere but Kosovo takes the biscuit. You are also right about low wages in Serbia. But better to earn €300/350 per month than nothing. This will change in the next 5/10 years as wages go up (the same as China was a cheap labur market, but their incomes and standards going up rapidly).
My point is this; can you see the difference between "aid" and investments? Aid is something you give for no return. Investment is different because you will get a return. So I ask you again, what investments have the US made in Kosovo? How many jobs have they created? I did read a while ago that Japan donated buses to Belgrade. Thats not an investment, thats aid, right?
I can only see Bondsteel as important to America. And thats not as important now due to Montenegro and N Macedonia joining nato. Can you see that?

In the time of Rankovic 60000 flew to turkey under the repression of Serbian secret police and more than 2000 were killed and disappeared! From 1981 albanians in kosovo lived worst than black people under apartheid regime in south Africa! In 1999 14000 people were killed, elderly people, women, children and young boys! More than 20000 womens were raped by Serbs!

Don't bother negotiating with Pristina. The West, USA, China, Russia and the Middle East are investing heavily in Serbia, more than Croatia which is a EU member and more than Crna Gora which supports anyone that throws USA dollars at it. The reason for Pristina tax against Serbia and Bosnia is not really about recognition but more about jealously. Kosovo is a welfare state, nobody has invested in factories or any services industries. Kosovo is upset and wants a piece of Serbia's investment. They are doing this by introducing import tax. Kosovo has broken every rule and the EU don't do anything.

The biggest achievement that happened in Berlin is that they buried the idea of the border correction. Serbs of Mitrovica have to learn to integrate in Kosova as they have no choice. 

Taxes will remain in place as that is not been seeing as a hurdle anymore by the international community to continue with the dialogue. The real hurdle was Mogherini and she is being ousted even before her term is finished. The EU got to see Mogherini's mess thanks to Haradinaj. Instead of Mogherini getting a Nobel peace prize that she wanted so much, she is leaving with her tail between her legs.

View From UK, The U.S has invested in Kosovo alot idk if you have ever been in Kosovo or not but it has. Most of their state buildings are built by U.S Aid. Alot of the schools are funded by U.S Aid and many other things. This is the thing between me and you. Im honest with myself and the situation for investments for Kosovo. The biggest reason why there is not alot of investments from the west is because of corruption and companies from the west are not going to pay bribes to polticians in Kosovo to open up shop. This is a fact. Alot of the older polticians Fatmir Limaj perfect example need to be banned from ever holding any type of office as he is very corrupt.So again i am honest with myself and other people about the situation. I don't need to lie like yourself about this. You bring up this point that billions are being invested in Serbia but your salary is pretty much same as Kosovo(250-300) euros a month. How are those big chinnese/russians investments coming? Get real man.. You live in the UK because economically Serbia sucks.. You know that.. From 1981 albanians in kosovo lived worst than black people under apartheid regime in south Africa! In 1999 14000 people were killed, elderly people, women, children and young boys! Bre, ask yourself why USA stopped pressuring Kosova to revoke the taxes? USA has the most political influence over Kosova but yet they don't pressure Kosova hard enough to withdraw the taxes. The biggest achievement that happened in Berlin is that they buried the idea of the border correction. Serbs of Mitrovica have to learn to integrate in Kosova as they have no choice.

Taxes will remain in place as that is not been seeing as a hurdle anymore by the international community to continue with the dialogue. The real hurdle was Mogherini and she is being ousted even before her term is finished. The EU got to see Mogherini's mess thanks to Haradinaj. Instead of Mogherini getting a Nobel peace prize that she wanted so much, she is leaving with her tail between her legs.

Don't bother negotiating with Pristina. The West, USA, China, Russia and the Middle East are investing heavily in Serbia, more than Croatia which is a EU member and more than Crna Gora which supports anyone that throws USA dollars at it. The reason for Pristina tax against Serbia and Bosnia is not really about recognition but more about jealously. Kosovo is a welfare state, nobody has invested in factories or any services industries. Kosovo is upset and wants a piece of Serbia's investment. They are doing this by introducing import tax. Kosovo has broken every rule and the EU don't do anything.

Armand....you are right about a couple of things. Firstly I agree about corruption in Kosovo. By the way that happens everywhere but Kosovo takes the biscuit. You are also right about low wages in Serbia. But better to earn €300/350 per month than nothing. This will change in the next 5/10 years as wages go up (the same as China was a cheap labur market, but their incomes and standards going up rapidly).
My point is this; can you see the difference between "aid" and investments? Aid is something you give for no return. Investment is different because you will get a return. So I ask you again, what investments have the US made in Kosovo? How many jobs have they created? I did read a while ago that Japan donated buses to Belgrade. Thats not an investment, thats aid, right?

Bre, ask yourself why USA stopped pressuring Kosova to revoke the taxes? USA has the most political influence over Kosova but yet they don't pressure Kosova hard enough to withdraw the taxes. Think outside the box and you will find the answer. This whole thing is intertwined strategically, I don't expect a serb to know much about these complex strategies.

Person, just to conclude.....just because two dead dictators/despots decided something between themselves, it dont make it legal or right. Let me give you an example......suppose a document appears signed by Hodza and Tito in which its agreed to exchange Kosovo to Albania and Serbia gets 30 miles of coastline in current northern Albania. What do you think? Should Rama honour this agreement/document??? And who knows, maybe the two of them had other cunning plans??
By the way, if such a document did appear my view would be that Serbia would have no legal claim to Albanias coastline.
I am aware that throughout the last 150 years or so that part of the world has been troubled. And there were crimes committed by both sides against the other. However, the sovereign borders have been established and recognised for over a century. How far do we want to go back? Why not give native Americans their land back taken by white Europeans? You see the point??
