Ulcinj, 1978

pre 7 godina

What kind of population had Ulcinj in 1978? Of course the majority was Albanian. That year was the first time I was in the "West": Ulcinj!
(Ataman, 11 March 2019 14:55)

More brutally said: only group travel was easy for us at that time.
Most in our group were "gold diggers". I was a teenager. There were some other kids, too.

They overheard how the "young ladies" chatted with each other, each boosting how many potential Albanian suitors they got.
They showed each other golden necklaces they got as a gift.

All was done to escape to the West (and of course to separate that particular Albanian or Serb guy from his money).

More strongly it's called "prostitution" - but imagine, in 1978 prostitutes from so-mighty-Soviet-Empire (a part of Germany included) were all over Ulcinj to get an K-Albanian or Montenegro-Albanian man.

You were the kings, we the last pariah.

And now...

Ataman

pre 7 godina

Albanians were the third population in Yougoslavia and they had no political rights.
After 1989-1999 they have NO right and all.
(Teodor Muzaka 1389, 10 March 2019 20:48)

Even simpler: after 1989 no one in YU had the rights they deserved.

Instead of fighting for their own rights they turned against each other, essentially serving the same criminals who violated their rights.

Jashari won, so did Milosh. They are dead, but victorious.

>I don’t know what are you talking about.
>I am from Albania.
(Teodor Muzaka 1389, 10 March 2019 20:48)

I see - than you just do not know and no wonder, you do not understand anything I wrote. I was thinking, you are from Kosovo. Apologies.

>And for Albanians under Yugoslavia.
(Teodor Muzaka 1389, 10 March 2019 20:48)

This is not the same. Albanians in Albanian vs. Albanians in Yugoslavia had very different conditions and life. Up until late 1980-s the Albanians in Yugoslavia had much better life and conditions than even East Germans. Anyone else, Russia / USSR included was a horror compared to Kosovo.

>Serbs blew it and they are paying the consequences.
(Teodor Muzaka 1389, 10 March 2019 20:48)

The nationalists blew it in late 1980-s. Happened before our eyes.
1982 Kosovo was a Monaco compared to Russia, Hungary, East Germany.
It is impossible for Serbs alone to screw it up. In the fact, Serbs tried to keep everything together.

What kind of population had Ulcinj in 1978? Of course the majority was Albanian. That year was the first time I was in the "West": Ulcinj!

It was like a dream I can't even imagine. All members of our group were hunting for either a local date(!) in the hope to immigrate to West (that is: Albanian-populated YU territory) or Adidas T-shirts.

What you telling has nothing to do with the reality we seen back there.

Ataman,
Speaking of crybabies, if you couldn’t make it in America, you will never make it anywhere.
(Zarko, 11 March 2019 03:11)

This is correct. But be aware, many from Europe, Israel, Russia and Taiwan do leave America after a decade or two. Not because it is bad there, simply because of cold monetary considerations and to escape the student loan trap of our kids and housing bubble in Silicon Valley.

Chinese (Mainland) are slightly different. The housing "quality" in China (Mainland) is far behind all above-mentioned. Same with the quality of social life. Let's not talk about freedom of press and other things.

The retirement money (social security) and first-class passport to hold for local travels and to some degree to a life with reduced taxes is an other benefit. Here again our benefits are huge compared to Mainland Chinese who can't get American passport while keeping the Chinese. So they can't even legally (semi)-retire at home.

Indians have the same problem as Mland Chinese, just the housing and conditions at home are even worse.

I don’t know what are you talking about.
I am from Albania.

And for Albanians under Yugoslavia.

Albanians were the third population in Yougoslavia and they had no political rights.
After 1989-1999 they have NO right and all.

So you may be upset, but to take the third population in Yugoslavia their few rights they had with 1974 constitution and to pretend that Albanians must be OK with that, you must be delusional.

Serbs blew it and they are paying the consequences.
Very simple.

Truth

pre 7 godina

The "hard truth": around 1989 or earlier Yugoslavs (Albanians included) missed the opportunity to democratically resist Milosh and follow the rest of East / Central Europe.

Everywhere else the people were busy first to get rid of the old system (and only sporadically turned to nationalism) - you did just the opposite.

Today each of you got your own little corner of former great country and is now busy to lick own wounds and blame everyone else for the misfortune.

It is a failed experiment with nationalism. In addition to that: the nationalism was financed with organized crime.

Today everyone suffers - but I have to read heroic posts how good all it is and how much everything is neighbor's fault. (Ataman, 9 March 2019 19:09)

True, in both Serbia (including KiM) and Albania. From visiting Albania, I would say the situation is worse there. But I have never lived there so I am not an expert.

poverty.
(Teodor Muzaka 1389, 7 March 2019 20:50)

Let me explain maybe better, why I am so upset.

You acting like a spoiled baby. What did we had? Nothing, but poverty.
In many villages there was no central electricity.

No electricity 7/24 for people in general, only in important buildings.
My house had no water - even if it was -25 Centigrade outside, we had to go to the toilet outside. It wasn't heated.

That was 30-something km from Moscow, close to the military airbase - which was closed to the foreigners.

Under such circumstances we managed somehow put people in the Space and (many thanks for Land-Lease to Americans tough) defeat nazis.

Russia and Soviet Union was significantly behind the West technically. And socially the serfdom was abolished only in second half of 19th century.

You had friggin everything. We traveled to Yugoslavia to buy t-shirts, blue jeans and in 70-s even Coke. You eventually got something from Marshall Plan - we got NOTHING.

You acted like a spoiled baby in 90-s, you were fancy some bandits like Jashari and voilà - what you got? Nothing, except the depleted Uranium. And dependence on relative's monies they send you back from the West.
And many of these relatives are involved in criminal activities.

You poke in my eye about Russia being backwards. It is indeed backwards. But at least we try our best, as good or as bad as it is.

You try nothing, only playing a crybaby and being a parasite.

Probably two factors decided who won the WW-II:

1) Marshall Plan
2) Who can jump quicker into electronics industry and IT. Now: electric cars and alternative energy.

The winners are already known. So are potential winners.
The countries of Balkan are absolute losers, "thanks" to destruction of Jugoslavija.

BTW: the only communist country which was definitely the winner of WW-II was YU. At least until death of Tito.

From Wiki:

"in 1948 Tito broke decisively with Stalin on other issues, making Yugoslavia an independent communist state. Yugoslavia requested American aid. American leaders were internally divided, but finally agreed and began sending money on a small scale in 1949, and on a much larger scale in 1950-53"

Everyone felt the positive effect - until the idiots took over.

And what's with Russia? Stalin declared IT being "pseudo-science" and that view was dominant up until early 80-s when it was very late.
The high-tech suffered increasingly. The NASA Moon program was also a great success and clearly demonstrated the technical inability of the Soviet system to catch up.

The problems of technology induced the social problems and they turned to be fatal for the already flawed political system, good riddance.

Stalin's military without extensive help from U.S. would be unable to win the war (think the logistics, the omnipresent Studebecker trucks and so on). And Stalin's ideas lost the peace later on.

Great Britain!!!! more like Great BS. Its a servant of the US and it only does what its told. Gordon Brown wanted to pull UK troops out of Iraq but George W Bush told him if he did that the US would withdraw their investment in the UK. Now for those that think that the UK has a huge investment in the US and its the one who has the upper hand think again.
The US can tell those British companies to move their HQ to the US or shut up shop there and what would they say? Oh no we are patriotic and will stay in the UK and suffer losses or move over?.

Why does the media report crap like this story? The UK has about as much clout as Australia on the global scene.

This side happened to win both WWI and WWII.

sad that so much people died in this wars only to get control of former yugoslavia may all victims rest in peace

Mutual recognition for border change is not a good deal. The border changes would be final, while recognition, especially from Serbia is a very volatile thing. Who is to stop Serbian politicians from revoking the recognition as soon as they get the border changed? Dacic has taken special pride in recognition revocations from other countries recently. Much much stronger guarantees are needed from Serbia for this deal to happen. I am not sure Serbia can provide such guarantees or that there even exist any enforceable guarantees in this sense. If this is indeed the US plan, it is a weak plan in my opinion. Probably the result of a gutted and under-havoc State Department in the era of Trump. The fact that Dacic was the first to push for it smells too.

However, stealing land is not a good idea as the victim (Serbia in this case) has the right to take it back at some point in the future. But as far as I am aware Kosovo (according to the UN) is a province of Serbia.

The only thing true and real is Serbian media manipulating Serbs and pushing out propoganda left and right. How can 1000’s of article have been so certain in their conclusions yet nothing claimed has been materialized?

What is certain is that Kosova will be joining Interpol, Serbia will be recognizing Kosova, America and Kosova and Albanians are strong allies, Europe supports Kosova.

Everything else is simply fantasy. Taxes get pulled when it makes sense for Kosovars to do so, meaning they get something in return. Regarding the Armed Forces...that’s a done deal.

Reader

pre 7 godina

Ataman

pre 7 godina

Guest, yes, sometimes when you scream like a baby you can get things. The K Albos proved it in '99 by creating false flags like Racak and then hiding behind Nato.
However, stealing land is not a good idea as the victim (Serbia in this case) has the right to take it back at some point in the future. But as far as I am aware Kosovo (according to the UN) is a province of Serbia.
Albanians always try their luck when trouble/tensins arise. In WW1 Albos sided with the kaiser. In WW2 with Hitler and most recently with Nato. History shows that Albanians always get someone else to fight for them. Serbia on the other hand stands up to bullies, no matter the cost. So, sooner or later Kosovo will be back in Serbias control, it is their land after all.

VIEW FROM UK

Bob, can I just remind you that Kosovo is not an independent country (see UN notes). Nearly half the nations of the world do not recognise Kosovo. Also the countries that dont recognise Kosovo have a population of approx 5.3 billion. The countries that do recognise Kosovo is approx 2.25 billion people.
I think it matters little to Belgrade who the US president is. Serbia will not recognise Kosovo and nobody can make them do it.
You talk about borders, but broke international law in '99. Serbia has sovereign borders which includes Kosovo. The Albanians forced the issue by heavy lobbying ($70k per month to Bob Dole to lobby on their behalf, just to name one) and creating so called massacres like Racak. Racak is a lie and international experts confirm it. On top of that there was a lot of bullying, harrassment, burning of property, threats, etc for decades against the Serbian population in Kosovo.
This is nothing more than a land grab, based on lies and interests of some western powers.
What is stolen will always be taken back at some point in the future.

Kosovo declared independence in 2008 and Trump was elected in 2016. So what has who the president is got to do with Kosovo winning?
Serbia has kept strong for two terms before Trump and will continue to keep strong after Trump.
BTW, what are you going to do when Trump wins again?

R. Haradinaj should hold out and delay a final agreement as long as possible as it looks like the U.S elections in 2020 are around the corner and it looks like There is a good chance we are gonna get a
Biden-Kerry ticket for the Democratic Party, were with all respect Pres Trump is gonna have a difficult time pulling off a win this time around!

Great Britain, hahaha hahaha, what is so great about it?? They are a relic empire long gone after the 2nd war and USA gave them the worse Marshall plan deal to destroy their empire and stole all their colonies. Britain cannot even do a brexit deal, it's citizens are leaving in the hundreds of thousands each year, it has no control over its borders, Ireland and Scotland want independence. It is in a mess, how can it even offer any advice to settle the Kosovo dispute? It can only offer disaster.

The fact that Dacic was the first to push for it smells too.

i laugh everyday when i read this serbian news website in english daily
you need to understand this:

kosovo and albania are not supported from american or european people not even usa or whatever country kosovo and albania are supported from the deep state/zionists these people behind the puppet presidents like trump or macron or may or whatever you want never change and they rule the western world im sure your puppet president vucic know this 100%

if you donot understand what i say try some research in the world wide web It took me almost 20 years to find it out what the hell has happened in the former yougoslavia the destruction of yugoslavia was planned almost 30 years before the wars broke out and the deep state installed milosevic to destroy yougoslavia and belive my slobodan milosevic is still alive he never died he worked for the west this is sad but true

sad that so much people died in this wars only to get control of former yugoslavia may all victims rest in peace

The U.S. position has always been to recognize Kosovo as it is.

The British got it right, and the U.S. are not far from it. What happened to the idea that Trump would just hand over Kosovo to Serbia?

That is what we kept hearing from you Serbs, I will say that was quite sad and pathetic to think you can be given anything you wanted because you scream out I'm a cry-baby.
(Guest, 7 March 2019 16:00)

@ guestaj - I understand your comment! The question remains...what is the west going to do now that they haven't done in the last 20 years???
Their opportunity went out the window with Tadic...Serbia was alone, weak and struggling...
But NOW? When Srbija has successfully brought this issue to a GLOBAL point ( see Catolonia, Republika Srpska, Crimea, Georgia, etc), has a powerful Putin (see Syria) and China fully backing them...you REALLY think Srbija is going to be pushed around??? ...with TAXES?? LOL, LOL

Nah, your best option now is to cling to Vucic and hammer out a deal that works...Your "friends" are just thinking how best to slice you up, Homer;)

And how about Alaska or northern California? (Who cares?)

Apologies to scream in few posts today earlier, here is one more scream.

Apologies for being a pain in the @ss, at least I wrote honestly what I am thinking.

And Stalin's ideas lost the peace later on.

You try nothing, only playing a crybaby and being a parasite.

how many times has the president (that is most powerful person in usa) of america said a wall will be built. how many 10s of thousands of articles from dozens of countries have made this report that the wall will be built.
where is this wall.
its been over 2 years of wall promises
where is this wall
i don't see a wall
i don't see it happening

it must be the case because 2 years is nothing
yet somehow you feel that 2 months is an eternity

must be forever because its been 9 years since you've said your kosovo is a country, yet somehow its not...
i've been hearing for 9 years that it is a country.
yet somehow 2 months is longer? math not your expertise?
logic not your foray?

I am from Albania.

And for Albanians under Yugoslavia.

Albanians were the third population in Yougoslavia and they had no political rights.
After 1989-1999 they have NO right and all.

So you may be upset, but to take the third population in Yugoslavia their few rights they had with 1974 constitution and to pretend that Albanians must be OK with that, you must be delusional.

Serbs blew it and they are paying the consequences.
Very simple.

Ataman,
Speaking of crybabies, if you couldn’t make it in America, you will never make it anywhere.

Ataman

Even simpler: after 1989 no one in YU had the rights they deserved.

Instead of fighting for their own rights they turned against each other, essentially serving the same criminals who violated their rights.

Jashari won, so did Milosh. They are dead, but victorious.

And now...
