Pristina Airport hit by industrial action

Negligence and mismanagement at Kosovo ATC is on a massive scale.

Air traffic control has effectively been handed to relatives of Adem Jashari's family (yes the person after who Pristina Airport is named). Jobs have been handed out to relatives of Kosovar politicians and to friends and family of senior managers, regardless of their qualifications. There is huge mismanagement of assets and budgets, the payment of salaries for employees who never came to work and a mismanaged 7 million euro contract to relocate radar equipment and software. Many senior ANSA managers, past and present, had helped relatives get hired at the airport.

ATC in Pristina is also working on sub-standard software because the contract with the radar supplier, TCN, had ended before the hardware had been integrated. That has left them working on a different signal to other airports in the Balkans.

ANSA deputy director is Shpetim Selmanaj is a member of Prime Minister Haradinaj’s co-ruling AAK party.

Why don’t all the Albanians In occupied Kosovo just move to Albania and all is settled

Please stop this BS about building a network around Serbia. You don’t have the funds so stop dreaming.
Do you have any idea the cost of travelling from Kosovo or to Kosovo if not through Serbia? No, you don’t. Fuel is very expensive in Europe and this BS about Euro Albanians driving with fancy cars LOL. Any imports have to travel twice the distance and up goes the cost.
To build anything mate you need cash and Kosovo lives off EU aid.
You Albos cannot go to the restroom without Washington’s approval so stop dreaming anything is your idea.

You do realize Kosovo borders Albania, Montenegro and North Macedonia.
(Peja, 18 February 2019 20:16)

Where do you go from Albania? Swim? Go through Montenegro but you cant go through Republika Srpska. You can only go the long way around Croatia because any short cuts all go through RS. Then there is Macedonia after that is Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary. In essence either way its a couple of days trip on what would be several hours and liters and liters of fuel so imagine all food imports coming to Kosovo and the added cost.

Dacic,
One does not have to speculate or indulge in Freudian psychoanalysis to explain away the tariffs imposed on Serbia by Kosova. Even Dr. Freud said “Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.”

There is only one victim and that is Kosovo and Albanian people, who have been killed, raped, kidnapped and forced to leave their land and homes. How can pretend to sell goods to people who you killed? Serbian hypocrisy. Keep dream losers or go back to Rusian steps.

Nobody cares about Kosovo
Nobody knows where Kosovo is on a map
Nobody wants any more Albanians and muslims in Europe
So they delay as long as they can
Serbia will achieve its goals only my because all Serbs are Christian orthodox and not terrorists
Where as all Albanians are muslims

No visa liberization any time soon

Nobody has any clue as to the political statagy that the Kosovo parliament is undertaking but most analysts believe that Kosovo’s isolation will be the direct result of Kosovo being owned by Serbia and Kosovo’s parliament is run by criminals who only know guerilla warefare

This guy is a moron! Talk about trying to re-direct blame! Serbia has to "thank" Dacic and his politics for the taxes!

Kosova doesn't need to divert anything. Let Kosova do its search for the remains of missing Albanians that are being hidden in Serbia and turn in your criminals that killed close to 15000 civilians and we will let you do your search on serbs, very simple! Kosova has been trying to get the remains of the missing albanians for the last 20 years!

What do they think will be achieved? I have no idea since Serbia can do enormous damage to Kosovo by imposing its own sanctions and one example is simply closing all vehicular access to and from Kosovo. The prices at the local supermarkets in Kosovo would go through the roof causing enormous hardship.
Another and most important point is that the EU is covering any losses that Serbia or BiH are making. I cant understand what this US strategy is all about. On the one hand the tax while on the other the EU is paying up.
It obvious that Washington wants to stay clean so they are pushing their "friends" the Albos under a bus while standing on the sidelines pretending to reprimand them over this tax.
(sj, 18 February 2019 12:54)

Damn, I should give you a gold medal for your top-notch analysis. However, we are building our entire network around Serbia. I would love you guys to close all the borders with Kosovo. You will lose all the money spending Euro Albanians driving with fancy cars through Serbia as well. Instead, we are using the logistics of Croatia and Montenegro. If it was up to me, I would build a massive wall between Kosovo and Serbia. Because I don't even want to cross the border in Serbia mate. And oh yeah, the tax was definitely our idea. I still hope they will ban Serbian plates as well for the next step.
Go and keep dreaming about how much we need you guys...

I seriously doubt this tariff is an Albo. It is more about US involvement. The US has made many attempts at defrosting the Kosovo situation and now they have ordered the Albos to impose this tax.
