....... “mafia operating from Kremlin is so obvious in its propaganda lies”

- yes I’d go along with that statement too. However, they were voted for by the Russian people, and certainly the Russian military is very supportive of the technique of the propaganda lie.

I do hope the Russian people discover the evils being done in their name and replace the mafia running Russia with something that more closely approximates to a decent democracy.

Russia is so obvious in its propaganda lies. They look pathetic.
(Bloke, 1 December 2018 06:50)

Now let's see the other side.
As I said, all Russian arguments can be defused with the updated law on minorities. If Ukraine would do that, Russian forces have nothing to do in Eastern Ukraine. Of course they are there.

Ukrainians violate the minorities and in exchange they get violated.

The entire story with Crimea clearly contradicts the Budapest Memorandum. Putin knows that - his defense is: "we have to deal with the official government of Ukraine, not with a coup d'etat".

BS, I think, that his defense is weak because not his favorite candidate would won the elections anyway. And no one knows, who made the Maidan happen.

But Putin's favorite candidate is a convict. Not political, but the worst: he is a convicted rapist.

No idea, how a convicted rapist was able to became the president of Ukraine. And no idea, why Putin supports that human junk.

The other arguments pro and contra Crimea are same as with Kosovo.
The minority of Crimean people are ethnic Russians.

But how many of them wanted to be "liberated" I do not know.

Probably the point of view of Xenia Sobchak is the most practical at this point (except that civil war in RU won't happen).

In any case I would rather see the territory of Ukraine being restored.

Just to make sure, where I am.

The same time UA needs new minority law and new Crimea status.

The "Russians" as you call them just seize the opportunity. The root of the problem is the Ukrainian law which strictly restricts the use of any language other, than Ukrainian.

In day-to-day communication most Ukrainians barely use Ukrainian. Ukrainian couples talk to each other rather Russian - even during their private time.
The "real" Ukraine is around Lvov only.
The most western part of Ukraine is again different.

An other problem of Ukrainian is that it sounds (and is) quite like a very country-like mix between Polish and Russian.
The later languages went through series of major refinements. Ukraine that fate was denied and they feel left behind.

Even hard-core Ukrainian nazis, who destroyed a Rom settlement near Kiev spoke clear Russian. They made that clip, it's all over Youtube.

Under such circumstances forbidding the public use and education in Russian, Polish and Hungarian is pathetic and it's what was done.

The same time most Ukrainian politicians have Russian passports and it was even demonstrated on the TV.

The conflict here is largely a conflict between different mafiosi and they use the nationalist card.

Your statement is wrong. You may re-word it into something like "mafia operating from Kremlin is so obvious in its propaganda lies." That would be closer.

Russia is so obvious in its propaganda lies. They look pathetic. Sadly Putin has too many dangerous toys, and too much time to play with them.

Have you seen Putin and MBS High-Five each other? Read that as them celebrating their countries' murders of dissidents.

Putin is an embarrassment to Russians.

MBS is an embarrassment to Saudis.

Trump is an embarrassment too, even he tries to suppress the press, but I don't think he is as pathetic as those who have killed journalists.

So funny. Putin attacking Ukraine while high-fiving Saudi Arabia's crown prince.
(Avni, 30 November 2018 20:42)
Not so funny - a naive Jewish teacher from San Francisco jumped up and down in joy when Saudi Arabia recognized Kosovo. He almost kissed the rear part of the Saudi king.

That was the moment I started to call him "Robot Berta".
But that time you were in love with Saudi Arabia, like that person.

No integrity, no backbone. Sramota.

JS,

Not sure what was the objective of your first post.
The minority rights in Ukraina are violated and there is nothing funny about it.

As for other things - I would never ever enter Saudi Arabia.
I would be happy if every country would cut the contact to them to the minimum.

I personally have no excuse if anyone shakes hands with these medieval animals. But politics is a dirty b*tch.

The handshake and gestures that Putin gave to MBS today, how would our resident Serb and Russian ultranationalists characterize that? I can only imagine what their wild imaginations would think up if Trump had done that...

"Russia is calling on the UN, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and other international organizations to pay attention to violations of human rights in that country, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Friday."

Too funny! Next we will read that King Jong-un is also concerned about the human rights of Ukrainians!
(JS, 30 November 2018 12:22)

Not funny.

Ukrainian laws regarding minorities are indeed violations of human rights. There is already a conflict with Poland, Hungary and Romania for the very same reason.

It went as far as the promised train service from Budapest to Mukachevo was not launched, even that all other work like finishing the 1435mm rails and building a new platform in Mukachevo was done.

Just like the US is concerned about Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi's human rights after he visited the Saudi consulate. In fact even with a tape of him being tortured and dismembered the US still "does not have the evidence" LOL.
Perhaps that's done democratically unlike the Russians who do thing dictatorially.

Gee your not only totally brain washed but they also left you out to hang and dry LOL.
