Now if I was you I would not be worried about what the French are hanging up in Notre Dome, but I'd ask the French when are they going to relocate some of their industry to Kosovo to help out with the horrendous level of unemployment there?

I doubt that Serbia will ever join the EU, but you must look to history to understand the situation in 2018. Saint Sava said that the west would say Serbia is in the east while the east the opposite. Serbia sits on a cross road and that puts it in a tricky position thus the balancing act.
What Serbia is doing is the best option available. It needs industry to revitalise the country. In a very short period it will be the only part of the former Yugoslavia to have succeeded. Forget Croatia or Slovenia; they must rely on the EU fund too much to survive.
Serbia needs infrastructure and the EU is funding that; not because they love Serbia but it’s in the EU’s interests.
Russia backs Serbia so this time NATO cannot lift a finger. Plus, it was Russia that saved Serbia by vetoing a UK resolution on Srebrenica, which would have established Serbia as committing genocide even though that never occurred. But a word of advice to UK what comes around goes around.

During the Iraq war there were hundreds of thousands of people demonstrating in the US and I recall one where over 500,000 were in Washington protesting against the US deaths but the US Government literally ignored them.
