Kosovo can be divided in Half, Upper half from Grachanitza and some border areas on the east and the west to go to Serbia. A big wall border must then be built. Any Albanians who don't like it, can move to the other side and vice versa.

Deal

@Watcher, that’s what many said about partition, yet today it’s the most likely outcome. And by the way, adding -aj to last names makes them “of the”, like the Spanish last names that have “de la” in front of them. Nothing uncommon about it, most languages have this. So instead of “Deal”, you are calling me “of the Deal”. Well, big deal! LOL!

Your false bravado is amusing. The swap of territory was agreed to without regard to your input or feelings. Get over it! However, all is not lost, Serbs will be allowed to visit “their” holy sites much like others visit Disneyland, by admission.

Speaking of "false bravado", I think you albies know whats coming, but playing it off as some kind of "victory", lol.
Your "victim" façade has been exposed for what is is...a "western" made scam!

@Watcher,

Albanians for the most part are happy that a territorial exchange is happening. To them it just means that unification with Albania is closer. Albania prefers a mono-ethnic state for the most part, with minorities given their own mini-municipalities. These are only relevant during local elections, which still require alliances with Albanian parties in order for such "ethnic-based" municipalities to be run properly without gridlocks at higher levels. The minority vote would become truly irrelevant at the state level, since in Albania people don't vote ideologically but depending on who has the bigger budget to buy off votes on the ground. So in reality Albania would win big from a deal between Kosovo and Serbia. They would add 1/3 of their population and land after a merger, and the minority Serb parties will lose their automatic qualifications and will need to become allies with Albanian parties to remain relevant in the political field.

The whole idea of border exchange is only to run out of options.
In the beginning, servs didn’t want to stay in the same room to negotiate with Albanians .
Then they accepted to sit on same table.
Then the theory of more then autonomy-les then independence come, nothing out of it.
Now the last option to be discussed, but not to be implemented, border exchange.

You see, no one talks about more then autonomy les then independence, soon no one will talk about border change.
The whole idea of option discussion is to domesticate serv peasants so they don’t turn out to burn their country when Servia recognizes Kosova at its current borders.

Let the spinning begin. A few weeks ago, Albanian leaders in Kosovo were saying no to the idea of partition. Merkel said no to partition as well. Now that the US said partition is on the table, including exchange of territory, the Albanian leadership is all into partition, Merkel is okay with partition, and so are all the Albanians commenting on this thread. The real world leaders are now in Russia and the US. The rest of the world are just puppets doing what they are pulled to do. If a territorial exchange is what makes the majority of people in Serbia and Kosovo happy, that that's what should happen. At any rate, if both territories are part of the EU eventually, none of this will matter any way. At some point, however, we have to stop thinking about ethnicity and just work together. Our world is being destroyed by global warming and instead of these petty disputes about land, let's just focus on stemming the destruction and saving everybody, regardless of ethnicity.

There is this fantasy among Albanians that if Kosovo is divided then its time to join Albania. Get over it since it is not happening. No one is going to ask Pristina or Albos living in Kosovo. The west will not allow it to happen.
On another matter Albania cannot absorb Kosovo into its 3rd world economy and if they tried it would collapse.

So she wants a "final solution". Very funny translation. We all know about the German "Endloesung" and what that meant. These days they say "endgueltige Loesung" but they probably means the same. I would like to see an "endgueltige Loesung" for the German question too... Preferably one with hundreds of little German states rather than a unified Germany. Little German states that can waste their time squabbling amongst themselves rather than trying to dictate to Europe.

This has been the US, Germany & Great Britain's policy with regard to Serbia for years. Independence and the redrawing of borders is OK as long as it benefits everyone except Serbs. The double standards are appalling and shameful. It's OK to carve up Serbia but hands off Croatia when it comes to Krajina and hands off B-H when it comes to Republika Srpska. And I would be remiss to leave out the still born state of Kosovo stolen from Serbia with the help of the western powers. Shameful indeed!
